I mean, the left has always looooved Russia going back to forever. Did everyone forget Ted Kennedy's ball washing during the eighties? He wasn't the only one and it has never stopped. Just ask Hillary.

Trump is president and all of a sudden the left wants to do their best Paul Revere act?

    Give me a break.
Things were getting done back then, a leader we could actually work with. The wall fell. People were hopeful, in general.
Totally different since Putin took over.

It's nothing new, and not news. Obama, Bush, Clinton, he was a nightmare for all those Presidents. Russia ramped up all their dirty doings to 11 since Putin took power.
The difference now is we have a president who doesn't seem to care what he does to us. He's gonna be his friend no matter what.

It depends. Most states are a one-party consent state, including New York. So long as Cohen was part of the conversation, it would be legal in all but 12 states.

Sorry dude, Russia’s been a bad apple my whole life. Putin just took over in the cyber age where any country can wreak havoc if they want. Trump is president and his detractors want to act like this is all new and undiscovered territory.

You said “A leader we can actually work with”. Like Kruschev who said “we will bury you”? Any agreements made with Russia in history have never been a nice sit down between old friends. Gorbachev admitted that Reagan accomplished what he wanted with them only because they believed he was not afraid to push the button.

Trump is trying diplomacy with the other nuclear top dog in the world, but his detractors want a hostile relationship. Some even want war. McCain , Hillary, Obama, and all the other establishment bastards on both sides wanted military confrontation. McCain was still screaming for troops in Syria when Trump bombed them.

Trump’s plan is a lot better than arming ISIS rebels in Syria which we created. Which is what his detractors have always wanted. After all, Trump said grab ‘em by the pussy.

    Can’t have that.

Energy Group: Highest-Ever U.S. Crude Oil and Natural Gas Liquids Production

    21 Jul 2018

During that month, production of crude oil hit 10.7 million barrels per day (mb/d), and production of natural gas liquids hit 4.2 million barrels per day, according to API.

“Record production of U.S. crude oil and natural gas liquids last month highlighted the strength of our nation’s energy renaissance,” Dean Foreman, API chief economist, said in the announcement of the report. “U.S. oil production has supplied all of the growth in global oil demand so far this year and helped compensate for production losses in some OPEC nations.”

“With continued increases in drilling activity, the U.S. is poised for further production increases in natural gas and oil,” Foreman said.

API has opposed President Donald Trump’s tariffs agenda, reiterated by Foreman’s remarks in the announcement.

“Unfortunately, increasing tariffs on steel and other components that are vital to our industry’s infrastructure and operations have emerged as a key challenge,” Foreman said, adding that the oil and gas trade association needs steel and other products for developing energy production infrastructure.

But Breitbart News reported when Trump announced putting in place tariffs on steel and aluminum in March that they are designed to protect U.S. steel producers and bolster national security:

Actions by the administration mark the conclusion of a process that began last year when the president ordered the Commerce Department to examine the impact on national security of steel and aluminum imports. That inquiry called a Section 232 investigation after of the portion of the Trade Expansion Act of 1962 where it is authorized, concluded earlier this year with a recommendation that the administration impose sanctions to protect the industries.

Some other highlights from API’s June 2018 statistical report include:

•U.S. petroleum demand year-to-date at its strongest since 2007.

•Domestic refineries ran at their highest percent capacity utilization rate in June (96.6 percent) since 2005.

•Solid economic and energy market fundamentals also underpinned the strongest U.S. petroleum demand since 2007, at 20.6 mb/d.

The oil and natural gas industry supports 10.3 million U.S. jobs, according to API.

This is why people just stop trying to reason why the Dems. Most of the time you will be unable to do it.

Why do Democrats want another Cold War?

    http://theweek.com/articles/785530/w...other-cold-war

For a journalist like CNN's Anderson Cooper (who immediately told viewers, "You have been watching perhaps one of the most disgraceful performances by an American president at a summit in front of a Russian leader that I've ever seen"), it is embarrassing.

How unprecedented and "disgraceful" was Trump's meeting with Putin? Consider the history of U.S.-Russian relations in the last half century or so.

In 1945, Franklin D. Roosevelt, the greatest president of modern times in the assessment of most historians (one with which I concur), sold Eastern Europe to Joseph Stalin. There is no eliding this fact. He condemned millions of people to a half century of penury and starvation. It is possible to acknowledge the hideousness of this reality while simultaneously believing that he had no other choice. It was the price of what would pass for European peace. Without Stalin's assistance, Adolf Hitler could not have been defeated. If Yalta did not quite evince the better angels of our nature, it at least confirmed the existence of the merely realistic ones.

Roosevelt was not, of course, the last American president to meet in person with the leaders of what Ronald Reagan would later call the "Evil Empire." Only a few months after Yalta, Harry Truman met with both Stalin and Winston Churchill to decide the fate of post-war Germany. The result of the Potsdam Conference was not only the partitioning of the former Nazi Reich into separate democratic and communist states but the end of America and Britain's recognition of the Polish government-in-exile. That Churchill's country had gone to war six years earlier specifically over the issue of Poland's territorial sovereignty, something Britain had been in no condition to guarantee, is one of the finest examples of tragic irony afforded to us by modern history.

This guy is a POS... I wonder if The Donald knew about this? If he did, no issues...if he didn’t....

If the client is not aware they’re being recorded, are those recordings admissible as evidence?

This is another case of Trump lying about pussy, and while he lied about it to the FBI, it wasn't he who lied about it directly, it was his people, so he didn't technically lie.

The guy is a poon hound, always has been. I don't like it, but I am not sure this is the end of the world either. I am more concerned about our budding trade war with half the world than which porn stars he banged and gave consulting fees to for their silence.

And there you have it. On a Saturday night too.

DOJ releases Carter Page FISA docs

    Catherine Herridge, 7 hours ago

The Department of Justice has released documents relating to a FISA warrant against Carter Page, a former campaign adviser to then-candidate Donald Trump.

Though heavily redacted, the documents show that the infamous Steele Dossier was a major component of the 2016 surveillance warrant. The dossier was also a major component in subsequent renewals.

Based on what is visible, the dossier is not described as a political document, as the Democrats have asserted; rather the FBI speculates to the FISA court that it was commissioned to damage Candidate 1, who is Donald Trump.

On page 16, the full quote reads: “The FBI speculates to the FISA court that the U.S. person was likely looking for information that could be used to discredit candidate 1’s campaign."

Fox believes that the U.S. person is Glenn Simpson, co-founder of Fusion GPS, the opposition research firm that funded the Steele Dossier.

Reacting to the document release, Page told Fox News, "I'm having trouble finding any small bit of this document that rises above complete ignorance and/or insanity."

The materials released by the DOJ include an October 2016 application to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court to wiretap Page as well as several renewal applications, the New York Times reported. It is highly unusual for documents related to FISA wiretap applications to be released.

The surveillance of Page became a contentious matter between Republican and Democratic lawmakers earlier this year. Republicans alleged the FBI had abused its surveillance powers and improperly obtained the warrant, a charge that Democrats rebutted as both sides characterized the documents in different ways. The documents, meanwhile, remained out of public view.

House Democrats were quick to say that the documents bolstered their arguments.

"For more than a year, House Republicans have bullied the Department of Justice and FBI to release highly sensitive documents to derail the Special Counsel's and other legitimate national security investigations and cover for the President," House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi said in a statement. "For the sake of our national security and our democracy, these vital investigations must be allowed to continue unhindered by Republican interference. The GOP must cease their attacks on our law enforcement and intelligence communities, and finally decide where their loyalty lies."

U.S. Rep. Adam Schiff, the California Democrat who is the ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee, said the documents underscore the "legitimate concern" the FBI had about Page's activities. Yet Schiff said the materials shouldn't have been released during an ongoing investigation because of national security.

Schiff blamed Trump for making public House Republicans' initial memo about the FISA applications, a move by Trump that the congressman called "nakedly political and self-interested, and designed to to (sic) interfere with the Special Counsel's investigation."

Earlier this year, GOP members of the House Intelligence Committee voted to release a memo claiming the DOJ abused the FISA warrant process in order to hurt Trump's presidential campaign, claiming the warrant against Page was based soley on the Steele Dossier, the Hill reported.

Trump declassified the memo over the objections of the FBI, which warned that the document contained “material omissions of fact that fundamentally impact the memo’s accuracy,” the Hill report said.
