Default Trailer for Steven Spielberg "Bridge of Spies" starring Tom Hanks

It looks pretty good, but it would be nice to have the SS that made The Sugarland Express, Duel and Jaws.
Michael Caine on Jaws: The Revenge:

"I have never seen it, but by all accounts it is terrible. However, I have seen the house that it built and it is terrific."

Samuel Johnson 1775 : “Patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel”

"McDonalds is The Antichrist" - Bill Hicks

...and co-written by the Coen Bros.

    I'm looking forward to this.

You really prefer the Spielberg from 40 years ago? Cuz he's done some brilliant stuff since then.

If you look at the kind of movies he made at the start of his career and the movies he has made since then it is easy to tell the difference.

SS has turned so dang sentimental since Jaws. Almost everything he does feels sugarcoated. I would like see him make a lower budget gritty type of movie without all the cheese.

Yeah, but it's been 40 years since Jaws. It just sounds funny that you want him to make movies like he did almost half a century ago.

I understand what you mean, but he's established himself as something much different than who he was when he was in his 20's.
Spielberg and "lower budget" don't go together.

It's kinda like expecting Aerosmith to do albums like they did in the 1970's. It's not going to happen.

There is nothing complex about SS's movies over the last 30 years. Not most of them.
