Default What's your next guitar purchase or trade going to be?

Anyone got their eyes and ears on some new toys ? Saving up for something in particular or trading anything ?

I want to try out one of the new Wolfgang Standard models . A new Charvel is also on my radar , but I hate how the new ones have floating trems. I'd certainly buy a tremol-no to block it from pulling up .

L&M has those new slime green ones listed as in stock .
^^ also has an Adrian Smith SDX that looks cool .

Really interested in the new Ibanez Jem Jr. Looks cool from what I've seen . I don't currently own a 24 fret guitar , and I'm going to check one out soon . Probably this Fri.

Anyone played one of those yet ?

After being really disappointed in the Fender EVH guitar I bought (and immediately sold), I am building a 5150 replica with a tobacco burst finish on the neck and body (no stripes). Undecided on pickup. What do you all recommend for a 5150 era LWAN sound?

Funny that you post this tonight... I just an hour ago pulled the trigger on a B&W Charvel Art Series!

Hopefully I'll be able to purchase an Epiphone Les Paul Express in the near future. I'd also like to try out a Wolfgang standard if they ever stock any at my local guitar center.

You know, I really like my Epiphone. I don't know enough about guitar probably to know the difference, but it sounds good to me.

I'm thinking a wolfie standard too. I did give one a fly a couple months ago that felt brutal but it was right out of the box on delivery to the store.
Going to give it another shot.

I picked up a Jem Jr about 3 weeks ago and its a great guitar for the price. I was looking to do a Jem project and was looking at after market parts (bodies & necks) when I found out about these, so I bought one the next day. Its plays quite nice but will be better once the neck is broken in a bit (feels extremely new). The pickups aren't great but can (and will) be changed. The plus about these guitars is the trems. The trems on the cheaper Ibanez's are usually pretty bad, but these ones are more like the Floyd Rose special trems. One of the reasons I bought it is because I have a spare Edge trem sitting here and I was going to throw it on this guitar but I might just keep this one on it now as its better than I thought it would be.

Great guitar for the price... You should check one out.

I've also got a Ibanez PS120 Paul Stanley guitar coming. THey still haven't been released her yet but should be here by the end of June and then I'm waiting for the EVH Star, which should be released in the next few months here.

I don't know. That's the problem. Right now I have an Epiphone Les Paul 100 which is only my second guitar. And it's infinitely better than my other guitar. I'm pretty inexperienced at this so I'm not sure where to start. Not to mention I regret my first amp purchase and I don't know what to replace it with.

This was my last guitar purchase a week ago. I'm sure a few of you will recognize the guitar.

Now that you retell the story , I remember you mentioning the Jem Jr. before too . How does the neck feel/compare to the EVH series or Wolfgangs ?
Do you know if a Floyd Rose is able to be swapped for the Ibanez trem ? I'd also block the trem for dives only . I don't need to pull up on the bar or do 'flutters' , so I'd vote in favor of tuning stability .

I might pull the trigger on one of those .
Not too concerned about the pickups , as I have some replacement Wolfgang ones hanging around .

Well...It'll be a way's off, but the next guitar will definitely be a Tele.
It'll be a vintage style for sure with the three saddle bridge..Probably the cool old blonde/wash finish if you know what I mean...The semi-opaque kind.
There's just something about 'em I like. That kind of "tool of the trade" simplicity.

Just got my Stealth a week ago today, so I think I am out of the market for a while, at least for guitars.

Stuff that is actually on my radar:

    EVH MXR Phaser
    EVH MXR Flanger
5153 1x12 Combo or a Mesa (Probably some time next year - I want to see what the deal with these lunchbox units are first, and I'm a bedroom player, so I don't wanna do overkill until I have to - my existing setup works for me.)

    Wish list?

    Wolfgang in Trans Blue
**CHEAP** Epi or LTD LP Style
Tele or Strat (Just to have a "real" one)
EVH EBMM In Trans Blue (yeah, I know, keep wishing...)

I would love to have an Axis/EBMM. Red cherry sunburst. I even played a Sterling by Music Man SUB model today just to fantasize. Pick-ups in the SUB aren't very good, but I LOVE the dimensions of the guitar, and the neck is sweet, even on the poor man's model.

I won't buy one anytime soon, but I would love to have one.
