    I just saw John Cougar Mellencamp on Saturday (I know he hates the 'Cougar' - but it's my post)....he's lead a similar 'hard on the body' lifestyle to DRL - and his voice was spot on...sure a bit more gravel in the chords - but the notes, duration, etc was spot on.
