Default Are you in control of your car? What does the future hold for driving?

I don't want to be the guy who starts car threads but, I have some concerns about the future freedom of driving a car.
First of all, the topic recently has been automated cars, but I'm gonna save that for later. My concern is with black boxes that are being installed on all 2015 year model cars. They keep track of your driving basically. 2015 cars have them and I have been hearing a mandatory retro fit will happen with older cars if you want to drive them. How much more intrusion will Americans take? I just found out that for the last 12 years all cars have a built in kill switch that can be activated via satellite. What? I have also been reading about an M2M chip that communicates with all the new cell towers and the newer cars can be remotely manipulated. The brakes, the steering, the transmission on new cars are electronic. 2+2=4. You can google and youtube search this stuff for yourselves. What happens if you miss a payment on your new car? Will we get tickets in the mail for speeding? Reckless driving? What does the future hold for Classic car owners? Also, 12 car manufactures are trying to get working on your car banned. I really want to know what you guys think about it.

I'm aware of all the computer stuff with new cars you mentioned. It's definitely scary.

I didn't know they want to ban old cars. That's nuts!! I really don't see how they can do that. Old cars are a big money industry. From building them to selling them.

I'd be interested in reading some sources on this stuff. I thought this was going to be about self-driving cars, but as someone who usually knows about the way states can control people, I don't know much about this.

The vast majority of the citizens of the United States of Fucking America are under almost constant surveillance from their government.

Your e-mail, your web viewing, your cell phone calls, your text, and your itinerary and where you have been are all recorded, and in you live in a big city you get to be on candid camera a large percentage of the time.

Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!
