Hmmm. OK. I'd like to hear some cool new song from Sammy. I'm wondering if it will ever happen.

Finished a bottle of Sams rum this weekend. I'll never buy another bottle. Shit's horrible... like licking a log.

I'm really not a big fan of this version of Sam that's been making the rounds lately. Seems very matter of fact arrogant as of late withh all that Ha Ha'ing in between sentences.

Never tried the tequila or the rum . Not yet anyway ...
I do love the Mad Anthony's sauces I've bought . Quality stuff , and I'm not joking . Thumbs up for those !

Only had the rum 2 times (once at a sammy concert and once at one of his restaurants at jfk airport while I was flying through) but really liked it both times I tried it. Number 47 do you usually like white rum?

Not a big tequila fan, but the cabo is pretty good (for a drink I'm not crazy about)

Really want to try some of mikes hot sauce. Any flavor you suggest rrvh or probably just go for the combo pack?

I've only tried the two hot sauces . They are both really tasty ! Yes , there is an after burn .
Not thin or runny like Frank's Red Hot , but thicker . Almost like seafood sauce in texture . Be prepared ... the XXX has got a lot of bite to it

The mustard and BBQ ones look good but I haven't sampled them yet .

I like white rum just fine, but Sams has a woody (sugar cane) after flavor that reminds me more of gin than rum. It's OK if mixed with juice or in a daiquiri, but I like chilled straight shots of good booze.

I really like Cabo straight or in a simple margarita with real lime juice.

The only thing I don't like from Sam is his revisionist history. What multi-platinum albums did he have after Van Halen? I'm guess Marching to Mars was about 500,000 - that's not platinum. And I think Chickenfoot sold a couple hundred thousand. Both excellent numbers for this day and age, but none of his other solo or Chickenfoot work came close to "multi-platinum". Maybe he is referring to UnBoxed, which was made while he was in Van Halen, or even Never Said Goodbye...I don't know the sales on these. Am I missing something? I just say he doesn't have to lie about it. He's had an impressive career in and out of Van Halen. The resume includes Van Halen and Motrose for Christ's sake. You're fine, Sam. Keep it real.

I agree with that. Such exaggeration is silly from anybody. Also in 1984 he was "touring as big as VH and didn't need to join the band" according to him. That was his biggest solo year but an exaggeration still.

I saw Sammy at a pretty full Reunion Arena for his VOA tour, and it was a good Rock'n'roll show. I would have happily gone to see him again, except that he stopped touring solo after being hired by the VH brothers.

Yeah he was playing most of the same arenas as VH that year. 2 nights in Dallas/reunion arena. Plus a few others. impressive.

I had the 'Live at the Hammersmith' album by Sammy . My mom bought it for me one year , after he was already in VH .
I liked songs like 'Trans Am (Highway Wonderland)' and 'Plain Jane' , but other than that , I didn't overly care for it .

Seems like he had a pretty good solo career , but I just never latched onto it .

Ugh. When are people going to give it up....?

As for the rum- I was at Cabo Vegas over the weekend and they don't even serve it. At least not that I saw. I went into a few liquor stores and saw none.
