Default July 20 - Morrison - Red Rocks Amphitheatre ROLL CALL

Would appreciate help with some advice.

Am considering travelling from Uk for the Denver gig. I am a massive fan and gave up a long time ago thinking they would ever return here.

Due to complicated circumstances, there is a possibility may not be able to go but do not want to miss out on the chance of tickets.

Assuming I can buy them, what do you think are the chances of reselling them if cannot go?

Your chances would be excellent. Best venue on the tour and only holds 9,000 people.

All the pre-sales today were for American Express card members or VIP pay-through-the-nose customers. I played around with the ticket ordering page since it isn't Ticketmaster to get acquainted for Saturday and pulled up a ticket—17th row center—I would have bought had I had an American Express card. (Through the VIP offers I pulled up 2nd row center but I am not willing to pay $450 for a ticket.) The AE password is easy to find through Google but when it came to finalize the purchase they required an American Express card. Oh, well.

I am fearful for the experience on Saturday morning because of this venue only holding 9,000 capacity and the fact that it is a popular destination. Thus, it is a hot and difficult ticket to procure for any event.

I'm so there if I can get a decent ticket. Although from what I've read about the place just about any ticket into the place is excellent. Still, I don't want to be in the 65th row at the top. It's just not in my nature!

I appreciate the compliment; however, as I said in another thread: let's not start rumors!

I didn't fare well on Saturday as everything that was offered to me through the Kafkaesque "best available" seat process kept coming up with same seats over and over and all of them were on the extreme sides on the aisles or way up in the 35-60 rows area while still costing nearly $200. There just weren't any seats that were worth it to me as far as seat location corresponding to cost. It was a roll of the bones and I came up snake eyes!

I'll keep watching as the show approaches to see if anything gets released back into the general public pool from the unsold VIP and preferred/premium tickets they're selling for more than I'm willing to shell out. I just can't fathom $450-$750 for a single ticket.

Apparently my wife had the same problem. She's a trooper though ;-) I've been to a number of shows at Red Rocks and I agree with the belief that there are no bad seats there! The fact that it's a naturally occurring venue makes for a very unique concert experience. IMHO

So, what are the chances that the 7 shows prior to Red Rocks will be enough for the guys to work out any 'jitters' or kinks? In other words, do you think this will be a good performance?

Anyone else interested in going to this show and perhaps shelling out a bit over the face value of $205 for some great seats? My dilemma is that it's nearly impossible to find single tickets at this point so the ones I've been watching have to be purchased in a set of three. PM if interested.
