I'll be at the Hartford show with the whole family this time around. It's gonna be an expensive summer.
I used to jog but the ice cubes kept falling out of my glass.

Is anyone else like me? Now I love VH, always have, posters on the wall etc..., but I am not going to see the tour or buy the album. I know, I know, VH will muddle though without me, but I wonder how many people are disappointed with the album cuts they have heard and the (so far) live appearances to stay away?

Now I will lurk here and may change my mind if the tour videos prove otherwise, but Dave's voice and antics (which I usually like) and no Mikey (I know, never coming back and Wolf is fine) are both to the point where I wonder if spending 150 to see them is worth it?

I may get flamed, but I am willing to bet a few diehards out there like me are staying away, not out of any spite, but just can find better use of my money with the band currently as is?

3 of us got 17th Row Centre Orchestra pit for San Diego Sept 30...going with 2 buds from Junior and Senior High school days from the early 80's. I've got Van Halen playing my birthday party like Spicolli! A little ways to travel from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada but you live but once. Looking forward to tailgating with VH Fans before the show....we ain't allowed to do that outside our venue! Cheers!

Nice thing about the sheds is you can pay $50 for lawn seats, and if you are willing to get there a little early and claim your spot, you can have almost as good a seat as the guy twenty feet in front of you that paid $100.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Seeing how low Al's throne is and how high his snare and toms are, if I were to sit down at this kit I would hit nothing but rims. And I'm nearly 6' 2"! It looks like I could eat lunch at that snare.

Also, notice the double-bass pedal hooked up the right bass drum. Thus, the other three bass drums are not functional and purely for aesthetics only.

Ya, that is where I am at the moment. I usually pick a show or two at my local outdoor joint in the summer and a lawn VH is looking like it at this point.

I am going to the Birmingham (Pelham) show. Last time I went to the Nashville show and had tickets for the show in my home town of Memphis. The Memphis show got cancelled. I had tickets for the 2007 show in St. Louis, drove all the way up there only to find out it was cancelled, after I drove 300 miles. Pelham show is in September. I hope they last until then. I am really excited That Kenny Wayne Shepherd is opening for them. Great that there is another great guitar player opening for him. Last time it was Kool and the Gang? I chose to show up late. I saw them in 2004 in Vegas. It was Shinedown opening. They are pretty good, but no real lead guitar to speak of. I saw them In Memphis back in the 90's. Drivin and Cryin was the opening act (was supposed to be Alice and Chains). Again no real lead guitar. I know Kenny has opened for them in the past. I am just happy he will again.

    I haven't seen Kenny live since 1998!
    Looking forward to hearing him.
