Default Any more recommendations for my partscaster?

I've now installed a graphtech nut, roller string trees, and put vintage steel saddles on it. I'm not sure if I'm liking the string trees. It now has a very (pingy?) sound to it. It almost sounds like it's coming from the saddles/bridge, when I just play it unplugged. Can you guys share some recommendations?

I'm also not crazy about how lightly colored the neck is.

I'm assuming this is a new neck? You can tint it with TransTint, it's available online or a woodworking shops.

Yes, it's a new Mighty Mite neck.

Can this be mixed with Tru-Oil?

Not sure, I know you can mix it with water, just google it and you can find all the specs on it.

You could eliminate the string trees and go with a set of staggered tuners. The steel saddles may be contributing to the pingy-ness. You could go with a set of Graphtech saddles, or Stainless. Try rubbing the neck down with some graphite powder to darken it.

I'm thinking about trying a set of stainless molded steel saddles. I'm really not liking the vintage ones. It does have staggered locking tuners on it. I also picked up some brown shoe polish to try on the neck.
