Just a little good-natured ribbing to my UFF brothers. LOL. (The ones I like, anyway... )

    From the vh@yahoogroups mailing list...

That's more than DLR Band sold.

Ten 13 is about a thousand times better than DLR Band too, by the way.

I have heard Ten 13 has sold more than that.

Let's not turn this into a Sammy vs DLR debate.

Let's bitch about how good music goes ignored, while a choir of 5 talentless fucks can sell millions.

You heard wrong. Maybe news takes a little longer getting north to you guys.

Go to the bottom of this page and you'll see (at the time the page went up, whenever that was) DLR Band sold 109,000 copies.

There's no way the Ten13 has sold 600 000 albums. If it had, I would guess that Sammy's tour would be alot more intensive, with more dates. I think Ten13 is great, and deserves to sell more than it has. I also think DLR Band is great, and deserves to sell more than it has.

Really, neither artist has much to brag about from these numbers, but Sammy's album is alot more recent at least. Going on the theory that these numbers are correct, DLR Band has taken 2 and a half years to sell 109 000, while Sammy has sold 92 000 in just 4 months.

Like MikeL said though, an even better point is that crappy, talentless artists have albums that sell more in their first week of release than Dave and Sammy's totals combined. That's sad.

Who the hell cares how many copies Ten13 sells? I don't think Sammy does.

Concerts are so much cooler when you don't have to pay $75 to sit behind 24,000 other people, anyway.

Sales don't equal good music, neccessarily.

By the way, Rostecker fixed his statement.

Artists can talk all they want with their "I don't care if it sells 10 copies or ten million copies", but that's garbage.

Sammy works hard and spends alot of money to write, record, and tour behind Ten13. You can bet he's disappointed by its sales.

10/13 just isn't as good as Sam's best solo work...especially 'VOA' which, in my mind, is still fantastic and carried with it one rock classic and one bitchin' hit single("TwoSides of Love")

Regarding MikeL's comment about comparisons...you can NEVER argue taste...which is why teenyboppers rule the waves right now...kids generally have LIMITED tastes, at best...if you are of the under 21 set, and HERE, YOU are exempt from what I just said!peace!

Sactofan I disagree. I think Ten 13 is far and away Sammy's best solo album!

I like it a lot more than Sammy's Greatest Hits Unboxed too.

His audience is becoming more selective.
