My introduction to CF. Can’t believe it was almost 6 years ago. Good times.

I never thought any of the CF lived up to the potential and I think Joe is far better off as a solo instrumental player than in a band situation.
I think Sam and Mike tried to make them sound too close to VH vocally, I know that hard not to do given Mikes great harmonies. Perhaps Mike should put together his own band with a singer that hasn't been in VH. I was wondering how he would sound in a band like Metallica?

Maybe for a one off show.

    Recording an album? Nah.

No money in it...according to Sam.

At this point, I'm very skeptical. But I hope you're right!

These guys, especially Sammy, aren't getting any younger. I think The Circle should call up Satch, record a Chickenfoot album, and hit the road. I was one that didn't approve of using Kenny Aronoff on the III tour, but I would be more than willing to have Jason Bonham in the band on record and in concert since his and Chad's styles are similar. Plus, I'll bet Chad would approve of Bonham being there as well since he seems to be the one who's the holdout due to his commitment to the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Smith is also a massive John Bonham fan so I'm sure he'd be cool with his kid taking over the stool until he can perhaps return.

You never know what the deal with CF is. I mean in public its scheduling and the cost of putting out an album. Maybe behind the scenes there is a bit of tension with all that and they are trying to put a good face.

Most times with bands, what is happening behind the scenes is worse than what you see in public.

CF is done. I mean right scheduling is preventing it from happening. Once those commitments have been completed, new ones will surface which will push it even back further.

If the guys wanted to make it a priority, they would. They are not

I agree with this, same goes for VH. "Too busy" makes zero sense for rich guys who have had no day job since their teens. I recorded vocals last night after a full work week at my day job, right here in my den for cryin out loud. Cost me zero dollars. Okay, four dollars; I had my dinner "catered" by Subway at the plaza.

It doesn't make sense for Pizzaman but it certainly makes sense for a 67 year old rock star who splits time between Northern California, Cabo, managing his clubs/restaurants, and some summer touring.

I can't believe you catered in sandwiches and not pizza. Traitor.

I was watching "that metal show" over the weekend and they were talking about side projects, the guys on the show picked their faves-CF was not one of them BUT in fan voting they were number 2. There is a market for these guys even though CFIII didn't sell what they wanted.

I don't think they should throw the baby out with the bath water at this point. I was listening to FITP last night and that is a great, great song.

they need to do something else with this project to just let it die out is a crime.

Well I got it at the *plaza*, which is similarly spelled, so maybe I was just confused.

My beef with this whole deal is the announced 3rd CF record. Nobody forced them to talk about it. They did. In these times of very scarce music in the "extended VH universe," you just don't throw this kind of bone. And seeing it's mostly Sam who killed it, to release his very mediocre solo records instead... disappointing. It's not a scheduling thing at this point. had has time to do it. He's not spending more than a month recording drum part for a new RHCP album. And Satch already has the music ready!!!
