Default The Most And Least Christian Cities In America

A sweeping survey of America's Bible-reading habits and beliefs has resulted in what its authors describe as a definitive ranking of "Bible-minded" cities across the US.

The study, conducted by the American Bible Society and Barna Group, an evangelical Christian polling firm, found that the book continues to hold great sway over those living in the Deep South, while people in the Northeast, Southwest, and West Coast tend to be less enthralled with scripture.

Researchers surveyed nearly 63,000 adults nationwide over a 10-year period that ended last August. They focused on only the 100 largest metropolitan areas in the country. Participants were considered "Bible-minded" if they reported reading the Bible at least once in the previous seven days and said they "agreed strongly" with the accuracy of scripture.

By those measures, 27% of Americans qualified as "Bible-minded." And — surprise — very few of them live in San Francisco, New York, or Las Vegas.

Notice a trend here? Redneck shitholes full of hate and oppression love their Jesus...

The most Bible-minded cities in the US:

    10. Little Rock, Arkansas

    9. Greenville, South Carolina, and Asheville, North Carolina

    8. Charlotte, North Carolina

    7. Jackson, Mississippi

    6. Springfield, Missouri

    5. Shreveport, Louisiana

    4. Roanoke, Virginia

    3. Tri-Cities, Tennessee

    2. Chattanooga, Tennessee

    1. Birmingham, Alabama

The least Bible-minded cities in the US:

    91. New York City

    92. Phoenix

    93. Buffalo, New York

    94. Hartford, Connecticut

    95. Las Vegas

    96. Cedar Rapids, Iowa

    97. San Francisco

    98. Boston

    99. Albany, New York

    100. Providence, Rhode Island, and New Bedford, Massachusetts

This is supposed to be a Judeo-Christian nation. A belief in God as the founders believed. All those who wish to change it should burn in Hell.

it's an intersting list. I guess the implication is that the fewer Christians the nicer the place is to live. Interesting theory. Let's test it out. What nations in the world have the lowest Christian population, I'm sure it's a who's who of great places.

So without further delay here's the top 10 places to live if you want to avoid those evil Christians:

    10  Iran
    9  Bangladesh
    8  Tunisia
    7  Turkey
    6  Mauritania
    5  Maldives
    4  Western
    3  Afghanistan
    2  Yemen
    1  Somalia

    Enjoy life (while it lasts)

Just curious, but how many of the cities you so eloquently (and intelligently I might add) speak of, have you actually spent time in?

I have been in many of the cities in the top ten and bottom ten on the list. Some are great in both, some are crappy cities in both.

But I just wanted to ask how many of those cities have you honestly been in that give you the ability to label them as "redneck shitholes".

Because someone as intelligent as you I am sure would not make wide stereotype statements based upon no personal knowledge of your own, that is something that right wing Christians do.

Also, just curious, but a study was done on Canada's cities as well, as a Canadian, why don't you post about them?

Oh, that's right, because the only reason you post is due to your Narcissistic Personality Disorder and your need to stir up shit.

I challenge you to start one thread, one, that is negative about Canada, and one, just one, that is positive about America.

You haven't done it in your entire time here, so, put your money where your mouth is. You constantly try to convince everyone that you aren't here for the sole purpose of being a pain in the ass. Prove it.

It's what he does, that is why Brett started the Vanilla Pudding Quarantine Sub-forum. It's nice to know that it is locked off in a back alley portion of the Links, and the only reason to come in here from this point forward is to see if he still posts here. And then you see that he does, and you leave because arguing with an idiot brings everyone down to their level, and he just gets off on the attention.

he starts plenty of bad threads about Canada but only when they relate to our evil fascist prime minister.

Canada's Christianity numbers are close to Americas. Both are around 70%.

To your point I imagine he hasn't been to many, if any, of these towns. I've been to Buffalo many times. It's a shithole. As is Vegas for the most part once you get off the Strip.

I didn't consider the "I want our prime minister to die" to be negative about Canada, but I will concede your point.

Yeah, I wouldn't want to spend another minute of my life in Buffalo, and outside of a small part of Vegas, it's a shit hole. But it's an atheist shit hole, so that doesn't count.

On the other hand, Charlotte is great. Of course New York is great, it just takes a different type of person to live there long term. Boston is an odd city, most consider it to be a major metropolitan area, but man, when you go there, it just doesn't have a big city vibe. I really like Boston, I actually prefer it to New York.

See how we can have a conversation without calling places "redneck shitholes"? The art of conversation is lost on many.
