Default question for Jeff or anyone else that can answer please...

Van Halen cover of "Rock n Roll" from LWAN. The version that was on VHS/DVD was different than the one sent out and played on Radio.
Anyone know where to get a copy of that.
    Thanks
    Mike

I taped that Westwood One broadcast off the radio back in 1987 or whenever it was. I haven't listened to it in ages but yeah, I also seem to remember it was a different take. Was the guitar solo also different? Anyway, it shouldn't be that hard to find. Is it not the same as the bootleg called Love Walks In that also has Good Enough and Wild Thing on it?

Ok, nevermind, I just pulled out my LWI bootleg CD and it's the same take as the video.

If you can't find it I'll dig out my old cassette (hopefully it still works fine) and get it for you.

The solo and the guitsr fills or whatever you call them were different.

No, no, I meant I thought the "Main Thirteen Minute Eddie Van Halen Guitar Solo Section" was also a different performance on the broadcast, just going from old memories. It may not be. But I know the take of R&R was different.

I remember the Westwood One (?) radio broadcast for RHRN . Eddie's guitar solo was a LOT different than what ended up on the album . I preferred the original one I heard - from what I recall . Haha

Even think Sammy introduced it by saying something like 'Now all you guitar players get ready to be taught a lesson' , or there about ...
"There's too many people on this basketball that's floating around the sun, who are too afraid to allow themselves to FEEL" - Edward Van Halen
"Van Halen was never about the singer..." - a very wise fan.
"Embrace the past. Live in the moment but keep your eyes on the future, and keep on moving forward..." - Richie Sambora
