RIP. Not many can say that they covered the Beatles and ended up with arguably more memorable versions than the originals.

    Well said.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

was never a big fan (loved Belushi's parody though), but still sad to hear a man has died.

Rest in Peace, Joe, up where you belong...

I just watched a vid last night recorded in 2013 of him performing Leave Your Hat On (which will ALWAYS remind me of The Full Monty)....here is a guy who had lung cancer, BELTING out a tune - and no lip syncing....all other 'artists' who insist on lip syncing, take note, you have zero excuses.

I downloaded his 1990 Live album last night and enjoyed it on the drive in this AM.
Winners come and go; legends are forever.

Here's my favorite Joe Cocker song. The piano always reminds me of Schroeder from Charlie Brown ...

"It's so lonely at the top because it's so crowded at the bottom" - Diamond David Lee Roth

"If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving is not for you"

"Be careful what you wish for because you just might lose what you already have"
