    Default Got another EBMM EVH.

    This was an eBay snipe.

    The rest of the family.

Sorry, but no Peavey or EVH Wolf comes close to these. Flame away.

Congrats on the new EBMM. Fucking love these guitars. You new one looks like mine...

That is a great collection you have. That blue one is insane...

No they don't Rick. Glad to see someone else owns a pink one even though it's an Axis not an EVH.

My amber and pink ones are Axis Tributes, about as close as you can get to the real thing. I got the amber one so cheap, I just had to do it. I was on my motorcycle when I found it and had to make the long ride back home to get a car to bring the guitar home. I've had the pink one for a little over two years and, in that time, I've only seen two pink EVHs on eBay and one of those was a refinish. The other was something crazy like $5-6k. I might sell one of the Tributes, but can't decide.

Only reason I even have a pink one is in 1992 when I went to Guitar Center they had only the amber or the pink one and I didn't want to copy Ed so I got the pink. Wasn't a huge fan of the color but I wanted one really bad and I was young. Who knew it would be such a rare color.

I bought my second one at the GC in Hollywood in 1996. I have a picture somewhere of me holding it in front of their display of all the other EBMM EVHs they had, something like 10. They were still relatively easy to find then. Got my first one in '93 for $900 slightly used. I sold it to my best buddy in Germany a few yrs. later, as they were always at least twice as expensive there. He still has it and I play it every year or two when I visit him.

Great looking guitar , Rick . Fits well with your others in the 'family' . My favorite EVH body design to this day ...

^^^ Another great looking one !
I'm known for playing the lower budget AX40 guitars and then hot rodding the hardware/pickups etc. at times . Still pretty close to the EBMM Axis guitars , at least visually . Plus they sound and feel good too !!!

Currently in talks with one of my regular sellers about an AX40D - with the original EVH DiMarzio pickups ...

I know you love those EBMM's . Which I think is very cool for more than just the obvious reasons ... Yeah , they are bad assed guitars (duh !) lol , but there's another thing I just thought of too ...

You have a fantastic collection of EVH replicas from the 'classic' era , as well as his newer signature axes , yet you still prefer (as I do !!!) the first run of gear he had with EBMM .
I think that's neat . Those guitars are modern classics in their own right

I've played everything that's ever been associated with him, even one of the very first "holy grail" Barettas. There's just something about the EBMM EVH. You know, when you hold it that you have something special. I can't put my finger on it, but it has an exclusivity about it the PVs or EVHs will never have, and it's not just because EBMM stopped making them long ago. I liken them to cars that are destined to someday become classics because 10 yr. old boys have posters of them on their walls. People just look forward to being able to afford one.

I agree completely. The necks just feel perfect. I have never held a guitar that has felt more comfortable in my hands. I have an Axis and love it. Someday I'll score a purple EVH quilt to go with my purple flame Axis.
Lets just throw a pound of weed in the fire place, f@#% it!
