Default Amazing New Floyd Rose FRX for Gibson guitars

I hadn't heard about this and saw that it was just uploaded by the Official Floyd Rose site only 6 days ago. Incredible new Floyd for Gibsons that requires no routing to the body or neck for the locking nut. Floyd himself shows how it works and how to install it. If you haven't seen this yet I think it's worth checking out the first 10 minutes.

It does take two screws so that still leaves this out for vintage guitars, but it might be neat for some with a guitar that they really don't need to keep stock. But it is a good solution for thin body guitars that really can't take a Floyd like an SG.

Wow that's awesome! I don't own any Gibson style guitars, but that's a neat solution.

I thought the same thing. It's nothing I need but I thought it was genius engineering. And I love that Floyd himself walks you through it. Adds even more legitimacy to him and his brand when he's out front himself doing hands on.

I got an email the other day about this new FR unit . Seems very interesting for those who have a potential need for it .
Anyone know the street $$ , or if the components will be offered separately ?

Ie; an EVH Wolf Special with a stop tail piece already has a locking nut ... scoring a used one for dirt cheap , then adding this new gizmo , could be an option for some people ?

I'm sure we'll see more Gibson and Epiphone guitars (for example) with this new aftermarket option/upgrade .

I like this one better than the Stetsbar, or some of the other retrofit stuff. I still find most of those kind of units extremely bulky in appearance, and kinda klunky in feel to play. I mean, I know they have to be to some point, but you'd think others would put at least as much into the aesthetic, and playability aspects as Floyd has here. It's a nice looking trem. At first, I thought it looked huge, but it doesn't really exceed a Bigsby, or those Gibby Vibrola's real estate on the guitar.
Cool! I'd be interested in an MSRP too. Sure I'm going to get some calls to install these.
