Default EVH Wolfgang Special Coil Tap?

I was thinking of coil splitting the pups on my EVH Wolfgang Special. I've been doing some research but I havent come up with a wiring diagram just yet. I'm not crazy comfortable with winging it it on my own although I may just do that if it's my only option. Anyone here done it? I found this guy on Youtube and it sounds pretty good. He used a micro switch and replaced the tone knob. I'd rather keep the tone and replace the volume with a push/pull switch.

If the pup has four wires, most of the work has been done for you. I remember when techs would get paid a fair bit for re-wiring pups to coil tap. As long as the pup was made by Seymour Duncan, then that diagram is correct; however, if worse comes to worse, reverse the wiring if you don't get the coil tapped correctly. It's only time you will have wasted...

I'm doing mine soon, but i've bought a FreeWay 6 way switch instead of a push pull as i'd rather have it all on the switch.

Thanks guys. I'm gong to take a stab at it tonight. I'll let you know how it turns out. From what I understand Seymour Duncan makes the Wolfs and Fender Custom makes the Frankies?

Just completed mine. You won't be disappointed, they sound great split, particularly in the middle position, very glassy when clean and squeaky with some gain. No hum either, just beautiful tones.

Did you use the same diagram?

I had to use a diagram from the switch manufacturer and make a couple of changes due to only having 1 vol and 1 tone. You'll find that all the pickup wiring terminates in the switch cavity rather than the pot cavity, there's a common hot and ground that run between them. To run a push/pull you'll need to run some multicore between the 2 cavities. The wiring is easily identifiable, but I'm colour blind, so not much help there. The wires to split are already soldered together, just shrink wrapped.

The 6 way switch ended up being much easier than expected because the pickup wiring terminates in the switch cavity, I didn't have to solder any pots at all.

Crap. I did it the opposite. I ran the pick up leads into the control cavity. Total nightmare.....

Wired up the push/pull switch to coil split them. It works but when i split them, the pick up actually sounds hotter and it has higher output. Is this normal? I can't tell if it's boosted in split mode or if it's weaker in than it should be in humbucker mode. Don't really have the time to figure t out today.

Mine is slightly quieter when split, as expected. I've never played so much clean guitar in my life since doing this mod.
