    Default Steve Stevens with drill

While Billy Idol performed Rebel Yell on Kimmel the other night (sounded good btw), Steve busted out a drill ala Ed on Poundcake.
    Not bad!

That didn't look like a drill as much as it did a toy raygun.

Same concept producing a similar sound though.

When Paul opened for Rush with Mr.Big in 1989/1990 at one show he got his hair caught in the drill. Alex Lifeson made this for him, lol!

I'm pretty sure he used that thing when he was playing with Vince Neil when Vince was opening for VH on the RHRN tour.
The only genre I really know is Van Halen.

Steve is known for using toy guns. I watched an interview where he says he's so into them he can fix broken ones and use them. I don't think it's a drill. It does sound cool though.

Yes, I remember that tour. It was most definitely a toy Ray-gun. We were right up against the stage, that night.

Steve Stevens is a fantastic guitarplayer. I just don't understand the reason for
another guitarplayer in that band. Totally useless

    Yep, that was the one!

Opening for Rush on the Presto tour was "Mr. Big". Part of their act featured guitarist Paul Gilbert playing his guitar with a Makita power drill. During the show at Atlanta's Omni on May 1st, 1990, he accidentally got the drill hopelessly tangled in his hair in front of 15,000 perplexed Rush fans. The next day, Alex Lifeson made this sign, and left it next to the drill onstage, along with an assortment of other tools, including a glue gun, that the road crew thought Paul might prefer.
