    Default NAD-Bray modded 1987x Plexi

I bought this Marshall 50 watter on TGP a while back and sent it to Dave Bray for his Mod 1/Rework. Damn!!!! I couldn't be happier with the result
I told Dave I wanted a Classic VH tone generator, and he delivered in spades!

Holy Crap Brain.... that was AWESOME!!!! The amp sounds fantastic and your playing is insane... Kind of forgot it wasn't Eddie playing a few times.

Well done & congrats on the amp.

I've had my eye on one of those for a while. I actually typed in the words, "I'll take it it, PM inbound" for one of those TGP ads, but came to my senses before clicking on "submit." Any clips of just the unaccompanied guitar?

Where did you find the backing track?! I see you have the Bray Line-Out box...I have one too going to my '65 Fender Super Reverb for the reverb...what is the reverb amp you have the L/O box going to?

That was incredible. Tone was spot on. I still struggle with that song because I just can't seem to get the swing that Eddie's got on that. It's the hardest part of Eddie's style to copy. I'm better with Hot For Teacher and a few others, but I'm the One is really tough. You nailed that boogie rhythm. Great playing.

I always thought his amps get the closest to VH tone than anybody else out there. This sounds f'n amazing.

Hmmmm... somewhere I downloaded the entire set of the backing tracks that came from the Guitar Hero game a few years ago. Maybe at Halen.com?

The L/O box is going to an Egnater Renegade 65. I have an old Boss SE-50 with a tweakable plate setting on it that feeds the reverb to the Egnater.

    Amazing tone and technique!!!

Out of all the modded Marshall amps out there, those Bray amps nail the old VH tone better than anyone...

The only "stock" amp IMO that can come close is the Suhr SL-68.

Sweet amp and your playing showcases the tone of that amp perfectly...
