A new acoustic version of Dreams by Sammy!

Here is a new acoustic version of Dreams recorded for Sammy's ‘Lite Roast album.

I like it, Sammy sounds great in it. I am annoyed there is no guitar solo in it though, how can you play a Van Halen song without the solo???

No Rock Candy or Bad Motor Scooter?

So two VH songs to help it sell, huh? (Nah, he would not do that)

All kidding aside, too mellow for my taste based on what I like about the original, but a good ride nonetheless

sounds great. the original will always be the bomb but he did a nice job with this version. and he has every right to play music that he co-wrote.

If there are those that truly dig this...cool.

    That's all that matters.

Having said that, this version blew.

This is a song that just doesn't lend itself to being neutered imo.

I'll stick with the original. Some things should just be left alone.

If I never heard the original I'd say this is a good song. His voice sounds great. It's obviously light years worse than the original but it's not exactly a song that lends itself to being stripped down. I do think he could have made more of an effort to get a closer intro though.

there´s a whole acoustic Sammy album comming, no new songs, just covers from VH Sammy solo, montrose etc.

I liked it for the most part . He's taking a song that originally had a lot of production values , and stripping it down to an almost campfire context . Good job on lowering his vocal range to serve the new material .

Sammy made good on this IMO .

I'd buy this album . No shame and no hesitation .

No, it's Sammy Hagar and Vic Johnson. Who needs Ed when you've got Red.

Just never got into the unplugged stuff. Never liked Dylan either even when he went amplified.
