I'm going to miss him, not just for the bizarre elements of his show but also for his interviewing style

I think the best part of his interviewing shares in common with David Letterman and Howard Stern, that ability to keep the interviewee off kilter. It actually catches them off guard so we see more of them as they truly are than the typical interview that follows the pre interview questions

Jimmy Fallon does that somewhat with his games...people get caught up in the games and you see a little bit more of them thru the cracks in the facade

Yeah, Ferguson is good because his interviews are off the cuff. They just happen and wherever they go never seem planned (most likely cuz they're not).

I still like Letterman's interviews the most, however.
I'm not looking forward to Colbert taking over.

While I do not like his show, I will give Colbert a chance, only because I know he is a talented guy. I'm not surprised CBS chose him. Not only is he funny, but he's a variety and improv guy as well. Kimmel has his edge and social media presence, Fallon has the variety show and likeability down. I am thinking they believed Colbert was the best of both worlds.

I really like Craig Ferguson, and if I had more hours to watch late night TV, I'd watch him. I pretty much watch Fallon, Daily Show, and occasionally @Midnight.
