Silvertide from the 2004 VH tour New music released

Don't know if this of any interest to anybody but Silvertide one of the bands that toured with VH in 2004 reunited and released a new tune this week. Tunes called Try, Try, Try. Infos on their website http://silvertideband.com. They were a great opener on that tour. Always put on a great show.

I was dumb enough to think these guys would be successful a decade ago, but it's too late for them.

I also contacted the guitarist about the band 5-6 years ago and he was a total asshole.

I listened to them in 04 for a few songs then got a beer. I liked the guitarist but the vocals did nothing for me. Nothing made me want to hang around. If this band was new in the 70s or 80s I think they would have been popular maybe a one hit wonder but that's it. Now Kenny Wayne Shepherd who opened for VH on some the III tour would have been a smash hitter in 78.
EVH 1979: Well, actually it's not much of a vacation, because we run everything ourselves. We design our own album cover, we have to be in the office every day to sign checks - the whole corporation revolves around us. Nothing can be done without our approval. We even have photo approval.

Talking originality in rock these days is probably a waste of time.

I think their debut album did pretty well, but it was a decade ago. You can't make a debut album and do nothing for a decade and expect to keep a following

I don't remember if I saw them or Shinedown open for VH, I saw them at the palace of auburn hills.....anyway I remember they (whoever they were) were way too loud.

I'm a big shinedown fan now, I really dig those guys.

I downloaded the first silvertide disk and it's pretty good. too bad they just vanished for so long.
