This is posted over at the Army

Hey everyone!
I wanted to get one of these out sooner, but got a
little swamped with everything.

Just some quick news:
If you went on my site recently, you saw that introduced
the new DLR guitarist Toshi Hiketa. Man, is this guy
amazing! We've been playing together for a while in
all kinds of projects (mainly the Hideous Sun Demons,
with James Lomenzo). The new DLR Band has been rehearsing
and writing everyday lately- it sounds great, can't wait
for you all to see it.

The Diamond Dave DVD is done! It will hopefully be out
in the next couple of months. You die hard Dave fans
are gonna freak! This is a really unique (to put it
mildly) movie/ video. No one's ever released anything
like this before. I haven't taken it out of my machine
since I got a rough copy!

We (DLR Band) are also going back in the studio soon
to continue recording a new CD. Very cool stuff.
Quite different than the DLR Band album.

Scott Bush and I are still recording our heavier sounding
CD. Details on this coming soon.

If you get a chance, check out a Metal Shop show if
you're in the LA or San Diego area- it's the hype of
Hollywood, how scary is that?!!!

Take care and I hope all is well with everyone...
Peace,
Ray

I dont know if DLR doing something will spark the bros to do anything. I dont think there is any motivating factors that might get those boys off there asses.

FUCK THE VH RE-UNION!!!!!!

Ya you heard me right! - I always preferred Dave solo anyway.

The only reason I wanted a re-union, was 'coz it would've put Dave back into the public spotlight.

If it ain't happening in the studio - then why bother - look at Deep Purple, the day they re-united was the day they ceased to be legends.

I don't want them to become like Kiss - churning out any old CRAP!!!! for an excuse to tour.

Sabbath tried it last year, it wasn't happening - so they simply let it go, and I'm glad VH have done the same.

I CAN'T WAIT FOR DAVE'S NEW CD AND DVD!!!!!!!!

Your post has raised a few questions with myself.

Did Deep Purple finally reunite with its original
members ? Including Ritchie Blackmore. Or did they
just get some fill in guy to play guitar.
(Perhaps someone like Steve Morse)

And if Im not wrong, I have heard that Sabbath
with Ozzy, are actually recording new material.
The original lineup being a regular hit at the
Ozzfest shows.

Just because the reunion hasnt been announced
and Dave is completing a pet project doesnt
mean the reunion wont happen.

It looks a long shot from recent events but
you all should know (hell there has been more
clues than you all need) that the reunion has
been investigated by all concerned. The hold
up may not be what you have all speculated on.

Some here have touched upon the biggest clue
of all. Neither Dave or Edward have publicy
announced its not happening. Ed may have told
close friends its not happening at the moment,
and he cant be accused of lying about that.

Lets just say that Dave is fully aware of his
value in the future of Van Halen.

When you hear either of the parties go to
the media saying its all over. Then its over.
Till then, sit tight...

</font>
Well you must be young, because the Deep Purple reunion of Deep Purple Mach II(Blackmore, Glover, Gillan, Paice, Lord) was for the album Perfect Strangers back in 1985......they did a few albums with Blackmore, but he left in the mid 90's and Steve Morse has been with the band since then...

Also, Black Sabbath are NOT going to record a new album, Ozzy said they didn't have the chemistry anymore that they once had...at least that is the state of Sabbath right now...

Also Dave did in fact Publicly announce that the reunion is NOT HAPPENING "right now" when he was interviewed at WMMR in Philly and another radio station...

The Transcript for the interview is up at www.vhnd.com

also the audio is at www.dlrarmy.com

I was referring to reunions in the last 10 years.
So Deep Purple reunited with Blackmore in, what

Black Sabbath did a great job live and I still
wouldnt rule out another Sabbath album. (Partly

</font>
Sure it's a positive sign, I also NEVER said that Dave said it would never happen, jus tthat he said it ain't happenin' now, and don't think it's gonna happen this year or even next year(well we'll see), Dave did say it was "inevitable" though ,and I know he want's it to happen...check tou what Dave said...

P: We toil in the shadow of the Frog. Dave before we let you go, I've had, if I've had one question this morning when I mentioned that, uh, I was gonna be chatting with you, I have had a thousand calls that have come in, they're all excited to see you, but people, uh, the rumors have been swirling so much back and forth and back and forth about, uh, the possibility that, uh, you and the, uh, guys in Van Halen will reunite, I would be neglect in my journalistic duty, if I did not ask you for an update, I even heard there's an album that's recorded in the can somewhere.

DLR: There is no album that's recorded in the can, but I did a few songs with the fellas about 18 months ago, which is metric for a year and a half, and the songs were stellar, the music was superb. We haven't had any real contact with each other there because we don't like each other, Pierre, and that makes for some very colorful sparks, all right, you don't hire us to be the family, this is not the Partridges here all right, and when you have worlds colliding, you have combustible, retina busting, mind roasting music, OK? And I've got to admit, and got to say that it's inevitable, that there would be a reunion, it's one of the most hotly anticipated reunions in the history of the sport, OK? And, uh, as you can tell, my surgically implanted disco beats is tunes to 138 a minute, and uh, we're ready to lift, at some point in time and I wouldn't be surprised if it was relatively soon, on our lifetime while our clothing is still in style hopefully! While we're all young and good looking, huh homeboy!

P: So you're open to the idea?

DLR: Always have been, uh, hey, ya know it's like my Dad said, always told me, "Don't be humble, you're not that good."

P: But there's no new, uh, last I heard was there was a bunch of lawyers involved, so is there any, any chance it could happen soon if it did happen or what would be the next step I guess would be what I'd ask?

DLR: The next step would be stay tuned and you'll be the first one I tell when the right thing happens.

P: All right, I thank you David, and uh.

DLR: Pierre, God bless and I'm looking forward to seeing you alarmingly soon!

P: Yes, in just a few days in fact, a week from Wednesday, you will be here in Philadelphia and uh, we so look forward to you and the band comin' out and rocking as only one man can. Ladies and gentlemen, the great showman himself, with a red hot band, getting incredible reviews, rippin' up the stage at the Spectrum, Diamond David Lee Roth.

DLR: Vrooom! Start your engines!
