Eddie's been called out for the Ice Bucket Challenge.....

    Hey folks,

    I just found this:

I didn't know who he Evan Stone was until I Googled him. Interesting....... I guess he knows Ed from the 'Sacred Sin' days ??

Anyway, here's hoping he does it and then calls out Al, Dave and Wolf !

    Ed
Does the noise in my head bother you ?

Default Eddie's been called out for the Ice Bucket Challenge.....

Dude see it for what it is. Up to $41 million raised compared to $2 million this time last year. Finally social media proves it can be used for something good. It's been an extraordinary phenomenon.

ALS is a terrifying disease. Probably the number 1 way I DON'T want to go. Heartbreaking to see it in action.

I think Ed and Al will only do it if it's iced milk.

I agree. Besides this place, I have no use or need for social media. Something that taps into the human condition like this is ok in my book. To watch what happened to Pete Frates(sp) and others, is heartbreaking.

If everyone here watched that 5 minute story about him there would be no criticism of the ice buckets.

I generally tune out anything that becomes a trending craze or whatever. But this is one disease that absolutely needed some awareness so watching the ice bucket challenge take off the way it did has been pretty remarkable. And I've been shocked by the amount of people I know who know someone who has it or died from it. It's far more common than I realized and that scares the shit out of me. They need to find a cure for this soon.

It's really awesome the money that's being raised, but sooner or later something is going to go wrong and the lawyers will come calling.

    That's all I'm really meant.

Have fun, raise some money but be careful.

Also, the shock of cold water from an ambush could potentially cause problems for someone with underlying health issues, such as a heart condition, she added.
Four Kentucky firefighters were injured two seriously when a fire truck's ladder got too close to a power line after they helped Campbellsville University's marching band take part in an Ice Bucket Challenge, police said Thursday.

Didn't Jason Becker die from ALS?

Hard to see Ed turning this down.
The only genre I really know is Van Halen.

Becker has ALS , he is still alive I believe.

VH should release a teaser video of new stuff, and do the ice bucket at the end. Then challenge Sammy and Mike! Stay frosty!

Jason Becker is alive and doing well all things considered. He's very spiritual a great example of life.

These ice bucket charity's are a damn good thing. Excellent use of social media. So many people have short memory's.

It's good to count your blessings and help out once in a while if you can.

I only found out about this ice bucket thing yesterday because I saw Geddy Lee did it (I'm totally removed from social media and celebrity stunts for the most part) but it seems well-meant and I watched several other similar videos from there. It's funny now that I just asked yesterday if anyone could imagine Eddie doing this. Well, now I guess we find out. I hope he does!
