I might just have to pick this up some day. I probably wouldn't make it a shark, but maybe a subtle tribute to the early Destroyer before all the modifications.

There is one for sale on the Guitar Center site used for $350.00

Can't get much cheaper than that!

They are cool, especially for the price. The newer ones are very good to be honest.
I can't remember which site it was on years back, but there were a couple who guys who really went to town on these Epi's, and did amazing jobs. The had to do a bit of cutting, and adding of wood here, and there, and filling the factory wire route to the switch, and re-rout it...Fairly extensive, but really well done, and pretty rewarding for their efforts.
If I remember right, one guy actually went a step further cutting the guitar into thirds, and repositioning the wings somehow, and adding material, re-gluing, and then shaping it to match the Destroyer profile exactly.
That's quite a lot of work to be honest, but I guess if the donor guitar was a decent price, and you're a real stickler for detail, it would be worth the labor. The results were real impressive.
I honestly don't know how much it was out, or if Epi changed their profiles a bit over their production run. They also changed manufacturing facilities at least couple of times...Korea, China, then back to Korea I believe.
They actually are pretty nice playing guitars. I've tried the Explorer and the V. I actually preferred the V overall.

They recently stopped production of these guitars, but you can routinely find them on CL from anywhere between $300.00, and $500.00. There seems to be more in the black finishes for sale, but if you're doing a Shark, it doesn't matter.
The only real downside to these guitars, (aside from the expected cheaper electronics that eventually get real scratchy) is the neck joint. Epi's don't have the same length mortise and tenon joint that USA Gibson's have.
It's honestly not a deal breaker, but with a little less rigid joint, they can be a little more prone to tongue rise on the fret board, which can cause some buzzing on the high frets, but that seems to be more on the late 90's, early 2000's where it was quite common, and even the finish around the joints tended to crack or flake off.

I still think somebody here should make a wolfgang with shark wood specs and paint job. Even if its a stop tail piece.

Thanks! As you can see from this thread, it wasn't easy for me to get this one and get it in shape to my liking!

Isn't the bridge pickup a clear or see through Mighty Mite? I think it's a copy of the Super Distortion.

Pariah pickups makes a set that's supposed to be Destroyer/Shark style.

A friend of mine has these in his Shark replica and it sounds great. I just bought a pickup from them for my Frankenstrat. Haven't wired it up yet, but it looks beautiful (they relic'd it for me) and it shipped super quick.
