Well if all goes well and UnRadio isn't shut down next week, I am going to change the current selection on Monday. Give me suggestions on a boot you would like to hear, I have a pretty good amount so I'll probably have it. Let's get the listeners' suggestions.

Most of us probably have it, but how about the US Festival.

Question. Is the sound we hear really close to the sound of your bootleg Brett? Or is there a sound loss?

Glenn - You can't encode an MP3 for streams above 56 KBPS (kilobytes per second), a CD is encoded at 160 KBPS, so you do lose some sound quality on the broadcasts. If you're listening at T1/DSL/Cable, you get 56 KBPS, a 56K Modem is at 32 KBPS.

I found that the Fresno show sounds really close to mine except the bass on the radio is lower. I guess that's why I'd like to hear the US Fest one, just to compare the quality. I have the Fuck your Girlfriend CD and the US Fest tracks on that are WAY better sound quality than any on my US Festival 83 bootleg.

But at the end of the day, whatever boot you want to throw on there is cool with me.

Yep I have "We Want To F*ck Your Girlfriend" too, I did notice that. I also have another boot from the US Festival that is near studio quality, especially for a live performance. It only has three tracks though, RWTD, Pretty Woman, and YRGM. The quality is so good it probably is from either a TV broadcast, or maybe even an FM one. Dave swearing in his rap during YRGM is beeped out and his vocals sound much better, possibly they were re-recorded afterwards, because he is a mess during those songs on the other US Festival stuff I have. The music is identical, but the vocals are just WAY better, they must have been re-done after in a studio.

Yep "Live And Loud" is the complete Fresno show, other boots have been missing a couple tracks due to time constraints on CD's.

I got a Costa Mesa show from 93' where Eddie started his solo out with the Big Trouble Intro from the 77 demo. I thought it was really cool he pulled that out. It also has Sammy doing Unchained. I actually like the VH 3 Unchained better.

    Peace

Might want to throw something from the club days in there. Goldenwest Ballroom 76 is a cool one, though it's kinda rough in a few places. Great set list though. Or maybe That's All Folks.

I was real close to using Goldenwest Ballroom for the first one, but it is a bit rough in parts. The demos might be a good one, and I have London Invasion too.

Brett, in regards to your earlier post, I also have a us festival boot on record and the sound quality is awsome! It has only the three songs you listed along with a bunch of interview stuff from backstage. I think they must have fixed the vocals because he sounds pretty good singing cosidering that he was quite fucked up at that show. It also has the bleeps over the swears in it. I got it so long ago I can't remember where it came from. The record has no title except for a yellow cover and the words Van Halen: Under file (something like that)
