    Default Thine Blessings

I'm glad i got to see the band perform several times, it appears that they've vanished off the face of the earth again.
It was awesome while it lasted.
Although i still wish i was alive when they were at their peak from 70s-90s

    Thank you

One more album and tour - probably. After that, I'm not so sure.

I think (hope) there will be one last album followed by a tour.

    These are the reasons why:

    1. When they recorded ADKOT, wasn't it said by the band that there was tons of material left on the cutting floor? Furthermore, the amount of unfinished music, if motivated could be completed with little effort. The key to this again is Wolfgang, if he can motivate Eddie, then it will happen.

    2. Dave craves the limelight... and I think one last hurrah for him would be enough at his age. Maybe, the band could do smaller venues here on out? Who knows.

Either way, I do think there is enough gas in the tank for one last go around.

Somebody once mentioned Ed, Al and Wolf doing a small club tour when they want to wind things down. That would be killer.

Ya know for some reason I can't see Ed & Al playing smaller venues. Think about it, basically their whole career once they became headliners in 1978/1979 they've played arenas. They've never gone back or had to go back to smaller venues like Dave and Sammy have. I honestly believe their egos couldn't take that "step down." And they'd just stop playing before they had to play smaller venues. I really don't think playing live is all that important to Ed. Not anymore at least.

They played House of Blues on the 98 tour. That's a small venue.

I think the years 2014-2020 should be filled with Van Halen.

2014: Special edition 1984, small Fall tour with special appearance by Michael Anthony
2015: New album, late night talk show appearances (Falon, Conan, Kimmel)
2015: Short tour, covering the big cities with plenty of time to recuperate.
2016: Live DVD release of show from distant past
2017: Double live release of show from 2007 and one from 2012 or 2015
2018: Box set release with unreleased material from both eras
2019/2020: World tour with both singers

Then, they have my permission to retire.

We always know what Dave is doing. He was Facebook before there was Facebook. My question is, what the Hell do Eddie and Alex do all day long, year after year? I'm an introvert who suffers frequently from people exhaustion, but I don't need that much time to recover.
