Default Van Halen at the Cabo Wabo !

I'm pretty much a Youtube junkie . Love dialing in rare clips and seeing stuff from yesteryear ...

I just came across (by default) a slew of Van Halen clips that I've never seen before . Those who know me , know that I'm not tech savvy about posting links and vids . Sorry 'bout that .

Search for viva van halen on YT . There's about 8 parts relating to the opening of their Cabo Cantina , back in the day . Some very cool and funny stuff if I do say so myself ! Haha

And that Kari chick (MTV vj) was pretty right on smokin' hot

Nice ... and thank you !
There's more there though , and some clips aren't so brief . I'm digging the III interviews . Truly and honestly have never seen 'em .

Eddie (in pt 2) makes a telling comment . "We're like a tree . When the tree stops growing , it dies"

His comments and playing during his recollection of 'Once' were amazing !!!

and RARE (??) alternate Bumblebee (?!!?). Think I've seen this before and maybe didn't notice? Maybe it was the model that Charvel was trying to sell?

I have those Cabo videos on a VCR tape somewhere. Thought it was the coolest thing when they had that VH special on MTV.

awhile ago they had 2-3 songs from the opening night performance, I've got Summer Nights, Cabo Wabo and a small part of FWYS, just the audio. The video was pro shot (from what I remember) but I think it was only 1 camera out of maybe 2-3 so it wasn't great at all.

I also had them doing Wild Thing with Steve Lukather and Brad Delp from Boston.

the led zep jam they do at the end is fantastic.

the coolest part of the whole thing is that you can tell if you watch Sam and Mike that they actually have no idea what Ed was gonna go into next, it's so f'n cool.

yes.... that whole medley they do at the end is Epic. they go form YRGM to Mississippi queen to satisfaction, to the Zep jam.

    that whole show was great.

I wish someone who has it on vhs would convert it and put it out there.
