I agree - last tour of this size. There's obviously a reason he's doing it and since there's no new album or product to sell, the motivation seems clear. That being said, I think this guy will tour as long as he can stand but it will eventually be down to a handful of shows a year at his usual haunts.

For all the talk about how self-centered Sammy is, it's pretty remarkable how he's just sitting in the back and just adding some really tasty licks here and there to this great song with Jerry and Nancy.

I read something on Facebook (one of the VH or SH groups) that The Circle's big tour will involve other popular bands. Makes sense.

Hopefully we hear about tour dates soon.

I dunno about the multiple band concept. I saw a few big shows a few summers ago. ZZ Top and John Fogerty were good shows. However, I was disappointed in ZZ Top sticking to the script and being done in 1:05. I can get that out of my iPod. Fogerty was awesome. He brought out Billy Gibbons for a few songs, his band was mostly college students and they paraded around the venue at one point. They put a lot of heart into the songs their parents and grandparents listen to. Kenny Aronoff was awesome!

The other big show was Debbie Bonham (she opened, we got there a little later than I wanted. Wish I'd heard more of her.) Ann Wilson was ok. Paul Rogers was ok. Jeff Beck was ok. That show had significant potential- if Ann and Paul did some duets with Jeff on guitar that would've been so much better. But they all stuck to script and did nothing spectacular.

The big multiple band concept for this year seems to be Motley Crue (no thanks), Def Leppard (I'd see 'em), Poison (no thanks) and Joan Jett (yes please). It's a very mixed bag. I dunno.

Not speaking to the likelihood of anything happening but with Sam having to perform 40 shows, this might be exactly what he's looking for:

I mean it makes sense for them to play in front of bigger crowds and everyone else seems to be doing it, but I don't like multiple band concerts either. I want a longer set and get beer-buzzed enough for 1 show only.
