I remember living in Illinois at the time, watching it on TV. It was hot as F**K that day. I couldn't believe this was happening in the same state as me and I wasn't there. But at least I was cool. What a show!

He went to the vineyards in France. However he didn't really publicize this, he didn't write a song named "More Bordeaux." Sammy's very clever, and know what works, focuses on it. He's into the whole alien thing. But he knows not to go over the top with it and be branded a weirdo.
    Huh?
That's a really interesting look at things, but I really doubt Hagar aside from naming the tequila had much to do about it's success.
What makes Cabo Wabo the product that it is is the rave reviews that the Whisky and cigar magazines were giving it.
Shit not just those mags but even the food channel bragged about it.
They all pretty much call it one of the top three tequila's in the world.

I'm off to work, but if someone can post any videos from this gig, it would be appreciated.

Just took a look at Youtube. Don't seem to be any videos posted from this year's event yet.

I just read the article. Considering that Sammy is one of the founder's of this very worthy charity fundraiser, are these shots really necessary?

...he crooned through......the overwrought Van Halen offering “Right Now.”
Thankfully, Hagar didn’t try to join McLachlan for a duet.

Yeah, you would think an artist playing for free at a charity event would exempt them from criticism for one night, but that is expecting too much.

I am sure Sam at this point in his life doesn't give a shit what some douche from the Mercury News thinks.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

It was either him or Trump. And Trump must sleep at some point. The press has no concept of morals, boundaries or shame.

Right Now is a good song, but with such a vast catalog, Sammy could mix it up more. Especially he sounds good on a wide range of material. Even playing with Daryl Hall he sounded good. He could do an acoustic guitar version of "Remember The Heroes."

Such an awesome venture started by Sam and James, and really cool of all the musicians that have participated over the years.
