Default What albums are the most forgotten (albums that aren't represented in concert)

Lets throw VHIII out right off the bat, Gary only had one album with the band so it's not unfair any of those songs aren't represented or ever will be in concert (unfortunately).

There are two parts to this post.
    1. Which albums get least represented in concert
    2. Which songs off of what albums chosen to be played in concert

It seems to me that there is a tie between two albums, one from each era, that got little representation as the years went by.
Diver Down, and OU812. Both great albums by all means, they have some great tracks. If we look at http://www.setlist.fm/stats/van-halen-2bd68066.html, it shows us that When It's Love and Pretty Woman are both what represents their respective albums in concert. Both albums second most represented tunes are Finish What You Started, and Little Guitars.

Songs that are picked from each albums are (from what I've looked at) the following:
VHI - You Really Got Me (Following immediately by ATBL)
VHII - Dance The Night Away (Followed by Somebody Get Me a Doctor)
WCF - Everybody Wants Some (Followed by Romeo Delight)
FW - Unchained (Followed, albeit very far behind, is Mean Street)
DD - Pretty Woman (Followed by Little Guitars)
1984 - Panama (Followed immediately by Jump of course)
5150 - Why Can't This Be Love (Followed by Dreams)
OU812 - When It's Love (Followed by Finish What You Started)
F.U.C.K. - Right Now (Followed by Top of The World)
Balance - The Seventh Seal (Followed by Feelin')

Here's a hypothetical to finish the post, let's pretend both the Hagar and Cherone eras continued after their ending (in parallel timelines).
What songs off of each of their last albums would be played in concert in the following tours? I hope a good discussion comes out of this. No Sam or Gary bashing please.

Diver Down and OU812 get neglected, for sure.

I'm going to skip the second part.

    Hypotheticals for Sammy and Gary:

Sammy: The Seventh Seal, Amsterdam, Not Enough
Gary: Without You, Fire in the Hole

I love the Sammy albums and have always been bothered by those that constantly bitch that it was all love ballads and such, it wasn't. But I'll admit that the band always placed a disproportionate emphasis on those songs for singles and live. I actually like a lot of them, in fact, I love Feels So Good when I hear it on the radio even though it seems universally hated around here. Always enjoyed When it's Love live.

But I'm bringing this up because it bugged me that for the Sammy tours it seems like the love/keyboard songs kept surviving and the rockers got dropped after they were new. When it's Love, Why Can't This Be Love, Right Now, etc. were to be expected but songs like Summer Nights, 5150, Naturally Wired, Judgment Day, etc. seemed to get left behind quickly.

I think Amsterdam gets left off the next tour because Eddie and Alex had such an issue with it. Didn't they pretty much ignore Balance on the 2004 tour?

The Seventh Seal was the only one that made the cut--which I love!

It's also the easiest to play to guitar! So I love that!

To do this you have to totally separate the Dave and Sam era's.And I would disregard the "songs played" list.Since they all have to be released (records) to see what's being neglected, you have to take the '84 tour, with Dave.DD was the tour before '84,so I don't think it could be classified as neglected. With Dave,I think VHII and WACF got the most neglect.VHII only got DTNA represented on some later tours.

With Sam,I don't think records were neglected. As mentioned, songs were being neglected more than records.Deeper cut rockers were being shunned for ballads and more popular songs.

Of the most recent tours, they've done a pretty good job pulling from all of the Dave albums at one point or another. VH I has had most of the album played live. The only exceptions are Feel Your Love and On Fire, which still haven't been played since Dave joined again.

VH II has had 6: DTNA, Beautiful Girls, Outta Love Again, SGMD, Bottoms Up, and Women in Love.

Fair Warning has had 4: Mean Street, Unchained, So This Is Love?, and Hear About It Later.

WACF has only had 3: ATCWR, Everybody Wants Some, and Romeo Delight.

Diver Down has had 4 or 5: Little Guitars, Pretty Woman, the Full Bug, and Hang Em High (and if you want to count Cathedral you can, since it's part of Ed's solo.)

1984 has had 5: the title track, Jump, Panama, Hot for Teacher, and I'll Wait played live.

So based on the evidence above, WACF is the most underserved CVH album from the recent tours.
CNN may think my opinion matters, but you shouldn't.

Feel Your Love Tonight is too dependent on high harmonies, they probably won't ever play that again unless Mike is back in the band at some point.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

How In A Simple Rhyme is not a concert staple, I will never be able to figure out.

Maybe it is the aforementioned high harmonies that are no longer available, but damn, one of their best tunes from an artistic perspective.

They did play House of Pain in the '84 tour, and they've done Girl Gone Bad jams without vocals in recent years and even on the the '83 tour in the middle of a song. I don't remember which boot but it's in '82 or '83 somewhere.

Now granted I don't have sheet music in front me but am just using my basic knowledge of music theory and relative pitch but they can do Feel Your Love if they wanted to. Wolfgang can do Mike's part. The reason why is they already do Dance the Night Away and that is the same key as Feel Your Love. The harmony he hits in Dance is the same note Mike sings in Feel Your Love.

Its starts off on the 5th of the tonic which should be B. Well I think it is. No music, guitar or songs to listen to.

Mike does a great job with backgrounds but honestly 99% of what he sings isn't other worldly. Sure he gets up there but for most background vocals, its within range of whomever sings the 5th. What is impressive is what he does outside of that with going above and beyond his vocal part.

Have you HEARD Dance the Night Away live lately?

Wolf might be able to hit the notes, but he is just not the singer Mike is, at least to me, it isn't even close.
