I picked up an Orange 15 watt solid state practice amp about a month ago for 30 bucks, and man, this little thing has tone! I'm not much into the dirt channel on it, but the clean tones are really nice - did I mention I only paid 30 bucks for it?

I'm playing finger style all the time now rather than with a pic - doesn't lend itself to much Van Halen style playing, but my inner Mark Knopfler is digging it!

What would Ed have used a Colorsound Tonebuilder for back in 1980?

I think you meant Colorsound Tone Bender.
AFAIK, he was just using the gutted housing for his amp selector switches, or echo plex, or Univox echo routing, or something.

Out of the dozen wolfgangs I have, I only have one hardtail, my Shark tribute guitar. I was thinking about getting a second hardtail guitar, ideally, one that I don't put stripes on.

Somehow, I thought it was a great idea to buy this. Why? I have the floyd rose version of the exact same guitar...but the deal was too good to pass up!!!

Really looking forward to getting this tomorrow! I LOVED my wolfgang hardtail that I turned into the shark guitar (it's still great, it's just a different feel, has PAFs in it now).

I recently visited the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC to check out "Play It Loud: Instruments of Rock and Roll" after my wife and I saw it on the CBS Sunday Morning Show. I haven't been too active on here of late, but I thought it might be worth sharing:

    Muddy Waters' Telecaster:

    Buddy Holly's Gibson J-45:

    Paul's Rickenbacker, Ringo's Ludwigs, and George's Hofner:

    SRV's Number One:

    Jeff Beck's Fender Esquire:

Jimi's Flying V (apparently, he used nail polish for the colorful design):

And since we're limited to 7 images per post, here's Part II:

Frankenstein. I could have sworn that this was a Chip Ellis replica, but none of the signage in the museum indicated otherwise, and the year is given as 1975:

Is it real, or is it Memorex?

They also had Eddie's stage setup, including a replica of the B&W Frankenstein (the catalog lists it as a 2018 Super '78):

    Marshalls, and Variacs

    Mr. Keith Richard's Les Paul:

Enter Sandman... Lar's drum kit and James' axe:

    And finally, Part III:

    Jimi's Strat, strung upside-down:

An early JEM prototype, from Performance Guitar:

And last, but certainly not least... (sobs):

These are just a few of the instruments on display. We spent an hour there, although we easily could have spent double the amount of time, if not for the crowds. If you're in the NYC area, definitely check it out!!

Check out this kids version of I'm The One. His vibrato is incredible. It's not note for note, doesn't have to be.

Just got a volume attenuator pedal off eBay. Not the 'normal' type like a wah, but a single button switch with a volume knob. Works pretty good. Adds a slight amount of bass signal when engaged, yet I'm pleased with it overall.
