If I was their promoter....Here is how I get the Mighty VH to roar again

    March:

New Album, featuring 9 tracks with Roth, 9 tracks with Sammy. Produced by Mutt Lange, Ted Templemen, & Rick Rubin. Engineered By: Don Landee.

World Tour with Dave & Sammy Begins. Extreme Opens. Australia, Asia, Russia, South America, and Europe.

    June:

    U.S. Tour Begins.

Van Halen appears on Leno, Letterman, Stern and Saturday Night Live. Also appearances during the year on the Grammies and MTV Music Awards.

    August:

Van Halen on Vh1: Unplugged with Dave & Sammy.

VH1: Behind The Music 2 Hour Special

    October:

4 DVD Van Halen Anthology and Book featuring a complete history of the band, live footage from recent tour and past tours, behind the scenes, making of the new albums, and many interviews.

5 Disc Box Set: Featuring 1 discs of live music, 2 discs of rarities, and 2 discs of remastered hits.

End of the year: Rock-N-Roll Hame of Fame Induction. Retirement. Everyone goes home happy.

Now Ed can go play the tuba. Have a album of instrumentals. Guest Vocalists. Whatever. But VAN HALEN went out the right way.

Eddie: If you read this and like it..e-mail me...I will make it happen

I dont want Mutt Lange coming near ANY Van Halen album. Ted and Ric I can live with.

I like the 5 disc box set, full of unreleased songs, and maybe a few live cuts.

And here's how Van Halen's ACTUAL 2003 Agenda goes...

JANUARY: Put out press release stating that future press releases will follow soon.

FEBRUARY: Add photo of Mike playing bass at the Rancho Cucamonga High School Battle of the Bands to the main page at V-H.com.

MARCH: Contact PR firm, ask them to tone down the media blitz a bit.

APRIL: Complete cover art for "Eddie on Golf" Hardcover.

MAY: Put out press release apologizing for not putting out press release earlier.

JUNE: Initiate lawsuit against Argyle Socks, Inc. for copyright infringement on crossed lines.

JULY: Grumble privately about release of the "Sam and Dave Tour 2002" live DVD.

    AUGUST: Have 5150 completly repainted.

SEPTEMBER: Drop bombshell in "Cat Fancy" magazine that Van Halen's now sitting on 15 albums worth of music.

OCTOBER: Put out press release apologizing for not following up on previous press release apologizing for not putting out a press release sooner.

NOVEMBER: Mike rents out the Pasedena Convention Center and invites the fans to his traditional Thanksgiving Dinner.

DECEMBER: Begin high level negotiations to plan out Van Halen's 2004 strategy.

LMAO! That sounds like every Van Halen year since 1998. Seriously though, the truth is not much different.

I'd like to say that wasn't true...

but c'mon now...who here truly thinks that any of this shit will happen...

Hell, if I managed the band...I don't know what in the fuck I'd do...actually performing somewhere...would be a start...

That would put me ahead of the duechebags that are managing the band now...
