Yeah , that's some old footage from 1984 . The video is titled wrong . The Sinatra song is called "L.A. is my Lady" . It's a great clip and an unlikely pairing (VH and Frank) , but it worked really well .

I have this footage on a compilation dvd I sent away for . It has all the promo vids from '78-84 , as well as several of Dave's solo clips too .

Wasn't this the beginning of the Amadeus video? Or was that something else?

I think a VH collaboration video with Prince , would've been a neat spectacle . Back in 1984 . That truly was their heyday . All of them ...

I remember the first time I saw that video on MTV I got really excited for a New VH video, then it was Frank Sinatra, which I didn't like, I remember wanting to rewind it and see the intro again.
I think Sinatra was in WB at the time.

Never would've happened, given there was apparently some bad blood between DLR and Prince.

She met Prince when she auditioned for the Purple Rain part at an open call in 1984. "I had his 1999 tape and thought it would be fun to work with him," she says. But Prince, who had recently split from his previous protégée Vanity, "was looking for not just a leading lady in a film but a leading lady in his life." Although she insists she and Prince "never had a relationship," Apollonia admits she acquiesced to his demands that she break up with her then-boyfriend, Van Halen lead singer David Lee Roth. "Prince didn't want me to be known for dating someone famous," she says. "He made me promise I wouldn't date anyone publicly during promotion of the film."
