Default Would you like to see Edward play keyboards on future VH projects?

One of the things that kind of shocked me (for lack of a better term) was the lack of a keyboard driven track on ADKOT. Now I understand that Dave wasn't a big fan of the keyboards and all that jazz when he was in the band the first time but Ed really dove into them when he had the chance.

I don't want to get into a song by song breakdown but I always liked Ed's keyboard tunes, they were different but still great.

Would you like to see Ed play keys again or would you be happy if he stayed away from them?

    Short answer ? YES !
Eddie has always made good music . I also like his keys and synth driven material .

I'd welcome the chance to hear more .

I heard once he sat at a piano at some hotel and played for a while to the amazement of other guests. Little Mozart. Cello anyone?

    Put me down for YES!

A musician like Ed shouldn't be limited by fan or anyone else's expectations.

I saw a very short YouTube clip of Ed , doing some amazing piano playing . I believe it was from the Sacred Sin party he hosted at his house .

    Yes.

When I think keyboards, it isn't Love Comes Walking In that comes to mind; I'll Wait and The Cradle Will Rock are favorites of mine.

I say yes, but only if it is creative and not real similar to Right Now, Jump, Love Walks in, Feels So Good etc...

    I appreciated it in Tattoo.
    Right here I say....

To me it depends on the "kind" of keyboard song. Something like "Cradle" (or even an oddball like "Sunday Afternoon in the Park") on a future album would be totally welcome in my opinion.

Basically, CVH era fans are ok with keyboards as long as they're not "Sammy" type keyboard songs huh?

    Exactamondo.

Most (aside from "Jump") still had that rawness that is CVH.
That's what attracts me to the band.

Record any keys (including piano) through one of Ed's amps and I'm happy.

That said... didn't I read that DLR played the keys on Tattoo?
Ed not playing any keys couldn't have been an accident.

    Cheers,
    mrC.
