Anybody who pays for bootleg vids these days is an idiot. I don't mean to insult those who have but a little searching on line will provide you with ways of getting them for free.

RockinConcerts.com is bootleg selling scumbag - who profits off the hard work of fans who create live CDs and DVDs specifically for the purpose of being freely distributed among fans. You can get virtually every VH boot known to mankind at vhtrading.com - for FREE. Please don't support bootleggers. They discourage fans from sharing shows that they record and bring unwanted scrutiny upon websites like vhtrading.com.

I don't own any videos of shows I was at, but I did recently get the opening show of the 2015 tour I saw at White River, on a 2 cd set. The audio is very good, and I've been listening to it quite a bit the last month. Pretty fun to hear the stuff I specifically remembered from that night, but then also a few things that I had forgotten about.
I'll never forget when they tore into the opening notes of LUTS. I immediately thought, "Yes! It's going to be great on the Links tomorrow, to see the posts from people who said there was NO WAY Dave would sing any of the deep cuts that Wolf had shown snippets of the three Halens rehearsing before the tour."
A favorite moment I had forgotten, is when Al finishes his drum solo. As he kicks into the opening beat for Little Guitars, Dave laughs and says, "Sometimes if I don't say his name he'll play a little more. Right on, Al!"

Show i would have loved to have is the Richmond Va 1984-,me and my brother got up front and we could see Val off to the side of the stage,so Dave picks up this bra with big cups and looks at Ed and says this can't be Vals,

The May 10th, Detroit 1986 show, a well circulated video boot was also my first concert! The energy was amazing. Smell of weed was something to behold. No chairs on the floor of Joe Louis Arena...dudes just going insane. Wish I could have seen them on 84, but my parents said no way...finally old enough when 5150 dropped. It seemed like half the cars in the parking garage were from Ontario....funny the things you remember from your first concert experience.

4 nights at that Cow Palace in 1986 and no video boot.
Surely there is audio? Can't remember which date I attended but I'm sure all 4 nights were similar.

I received these cassettes in a trade back in the late ’80s. I would guess them to be 1st or 2nd generation. Show #109 of the 5150 tour, the 3rd of 4 shows and the 2nd to the last show of the tour. The band is having a great time in Sammy’s hometown. I think the show was recorded with a Sony D3. The quality is decent for the time period. A very enjoyable show to listen to. One of the longer shows of the tour.

Most of the VH shows I've seen, I've managed to get at least audio recordings of various quality over the years. I think the only ones I don't have are the '78 Long Beach Arena, 1980 LA Sports Arena and the 2 LA Forum shows I saw during the Diver Down tour.
For a few years in the early 80's, I used to record shows on a AIWA portable walkman-style stereo cassette deck for my own entertainment. It was pretty easy to smuggle into a show. It had these two little R/L sugarcube size mics that I'd tape to either my shoulders or baseball cap, run the lines under my shirt to the deck hooked on my belt. I could pretty much enjoy a show unencumbered and only had to remember to flip or swap out a tape every half hour or so. I got the LA Forum '81 show that's been traded to death and most of the the US Festival including VH's complete set with this rig. Most of my recordings are pretty mediocre quality and in cases like the US Festival, my friends and I yelling at each other kind of ruins the recording. Here's a clip from the US Fest, syncing my audio to the bootleg video.

I found this one, a few months back, on the MightyVH site; Rosemont Horizon, March 13, 1984.
I was there, with my girlfriend (whom I've been married to since, five years after this show).
This is really cool to come across this, so many years later.

I distinctly remember the band train wrecking I'll Wait, right at the end of the guitar solo.
They were all a little off through the solo, and something was bound to happen, I could feel it building up...then splat!
It was tragic, yet hilarious, all at the same time. I was in disbelief.
I'm talking about a complete full stop,
and then Dave saying "Our drummer's on some heavy drugs toooniiiight!!"
Then a restart.
But someone must have edited it out. It just sounds like a minor FU on this recording.
The missing part is right around 43:46.Why behave in public...if you're livin' on a playground !
