    Default Imagine a Chickenfoot Festival

    Chickenfoot
    Winery Dogs
    Audioslave
    Velvet Revolver
    Powerstation
    Them Crooked Vultures
    Black Country Communion
    Mad Season

I think this would be a good way to up their game.

You would need to bring back from the dead a number of people, and put back together bands that have broken up a long time ago...

I get that Robert Palmer and Tony Thompson are unfortunately deceased and were without a doubt a BIG part of the Powerstation's sound, however; Andy Taylor has mentioned in interviews that he would like to eventually resurrect the Powerstation back with John Taylor, Will Calhoun and Corey Glover from Living Colour. Who knows if that will ever happen but the idea excites me as hell!!!

As for Mad Season goes, Mike Cready and Barrett Martin have already begun the process of getting the band together. Not sure with who but in these cases it works because its not like the missing members are still living.

I just think many of these super groups are hidden treasures within the genre's and what better way to bring it to the forefront by doing a festival like this. I cant think of this every happening or anyone ever doing this.

SAMMY! If you are reading this: JUST DO IT!!!

CF and Winery Dogs are the only two bands that exist from the above list.

I threw this idea out a while back. I'm thinking RHCP, the Wabos and G3 with Satch, Vai and Dick Dale. Add in Bill Church and Denny Carmassi for a Montrose-like reunion.

Squeeze Bad Company into the slot you reserved for Power Station and you've got a show.

    Yep.

He's been somehow forgotten for a few generations. But he's still out there, tearing it up. I think his newer stuff is better than when he was popular in the '60s. His sound needs to be heard and remembered by newer generations before it's too late.

I think it was either Eddie or Dave that mentioned that VH was originally intended to sound like Dick Dale meets the harmonies of the Beach Boys.

Add Heart? Yes. Bump Winery Dogs? Nope.
Two of my favorite bands, but just too different audiences I assume.

Keep the "supergroups" idea: CF, Winery Dogs, Black Country /whatever their new name is again. let them do a few dates in different cities, alternating playing sequence, each having 1,5 - 2 hours to play an almost full setlist. That would be one heck of a day for me.

A Chickenfoot Festival would probably be more like...

-Michael Anthony solo (with Vic on Guitar and Lauser on drums) *Special appearance by the Red Rocker
-Sammy and the Wabos *With special guest Michael Anthony
    -Solo Satch
    -Chad Smith's Bombastic Meatbats
    -The Other Half
    -Intermission
    -Chickenfoot

I would be happy to attend
If you want a little peace, sometimes you got to fight
We got to walk through the darkness
Before we stand in the light.
    -S. Hagar
