Greatest NFL Quarterback of all Time

Who do think is the Greatest NFL Quarterback of all Time ?

This not to be based exclusively on just "who had the greatest stats" or the most wins.

Part of a choice is subjective, and part is objective.

My personal choice for the Greatest NFL Quarterback of all Time is:

    Tom Brady

When it comes to quarterbacks, I never go by stats, QB ratings, or any of that crap.....I just like to ask a question...

You have to win one game.....be it a Super Bowl, playoff game, tough one on the road to break a losing streak....whatever.....one game, must win....

    Who's your quarterback?

    The answer is.....Joe Montana.

I have to say Montana but my heart is with Unitas. If he had played his entire career in the NFL Otto Graham and his 7 championships deserve some consideration.

I'm a lifelong, always was-always will be Denver Broncos fan... Big fan of Elway... But *the* best... It's gotta be Joe Cool.

Active players, it'd be a pick'em between Tom Brady and Peyton Manning for me. Personally, I'd give the edge to Manning because Brady just annoys me for some reason. I hope I get to see 'em matched up next Sunday.

I'll go with Brady as well. He has a knack for making other players great. I do wonder though if he'd be the same without Belichick...

I think we're all biased. I am biased against Montana (the NFL Quarterback - not the person). If it weren't for that bias, I'd probably have agreed with most of you and voted for him. But Joe is partly responsible for "The Catch", a day that will in infamy for me.

Heart-wise, as a youngster, the very first sports icon/NFL Quarterback that I posted up on my wall, was Bart Starr.

And then, being raised in the Dallas area, Roger Staubach and Troy Aikman hold special places.

If your life was on the line for one game, who is the quarterback you would want?

For me, it's not even close. Montana.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

My bias says Brady for a few reasons.
Today's defenses IMO are overall better than in the past.
The guy wins without having a John Taylor or Jerry Rice. Other than briefly playing with Moss, Brady has never had the wide receiving talent that Joe had or even what Manning had in Harrison and Wayne in Indy and what he has today in Denver.

Somehow Brady keeps on winning divisions and AFC titles as well as 3 Super Bowls.
'Old Van Halen, when I was in it-classic Van Halen-makes you wanna drink, dance and screw, right? And the new Van Halen encourages you to drink milk, drive a Nissan and have a relationship.' - David Lee Roth.

Yeah that logic is totally silly.

And Brady hasn't won a title in 11 years.

When I hear Joe Montana - I think Lawrence Taylor.

I always liked Bradshaw but I know he was a step belie the guys making the list.

    Maybe Phil Simms. Kidding....

Brady may not have had the WR studs other QBs have, but the WRs he's had have been very good. What allows Brady to be so good is the very stellar O-line. The other QBs didn't have the time he has. He has more time than any other QB. And, when he doesn't have as much time (his last 2 SB losses), he becomes very average.
Put it this way: I think Aaron Rodgers is a better QB than Brady. Imagine how much better Rodgers would be if he had a better O-line giving him more time. He gets sacked more than any other QB in the league and he's still considered one of today's elite.

To answer the question of the topic: I'd go with Montana.

Joe Montana, with Tarkenton as my second choice, and Dan Marino in third.
I'd pick Eli Manning over Brady on any day of the week.
Without Spygate Brady be just like any other NFL qb.
