Default Question about production of Jump video (Jeff please chime in)

Ok, so here is my question. It says on the VHND article about the video that it cost $600 to make the video. I remember Dave saying way back on the Charlie Rose interview back in 1984 that it cost cigarette money and some change. Was this done in 5150 in it's infant stage? Who produced it? Dave's partner in The Picasso Brothers? Always wondered about this info. I have a friend that is calling the $600 total BS. Here are some of his comments.

"Bullshit. The 35mm film stock cost more than that."

"unless the film was free, the development was free, the venue was free, and the director, camermen, editor and stagehands worked for $3 an hour, then math don't add up. Just sayin'"

"That aint 5150, its a soundstage. There is outtake footage on youtube showing them in the dressing rooms"

The video was made back in the day when Michael Jackson just made the most expensive video of all time (Thriller), so DLR thought it was a clever PR move to claim the video only costed about 600 dollars. Implying a good song doesn't need such a big production to become a hit.
I remember that a few years later DLR commited that he wasn't telling the truth and was just giving the media a good story. In fact it costed somewhat around 10.000$.

Always thought the lyrics to that song were heinous and stupid.

Well the guy calling $600 BS found this. Interesting. Still first cheap.

Filmed at "The Complex" in Santa Monica. Actual cost around $6,000.00.
