Default Van Halen 1998 Madison Square Garden

Just listened to the III tour again at Madison Square Garden from 1998 with Gary.
I think this is possibly the best sounding live version of VAN HALEN ever!
Everyone was in their prime - Gary did awesome!
They did all the songs from all eras - the way Van Halen should be listened to.

Sure early VH with Dave was iconic and parts of Sammy were great, but the level of professionalism, Ed was spectacular - the vocals from Gary were spot on - Al and Mike were rock solid !! All eras represented, Ed doing his flying eddies!

I am one for revising my feelings on this version of Van Halen. Gary did a great job. Maybe the Album from Eddy all by himself, the P.R. and the order of things were messed up, but there really is no arguing that Van Halen never sounded better than this live - at any time!!
    What a phenomenal show!!!!

Saw the III show in Atlanta. IMO the tour was better than the album. Had a great time.

My first VH show was the III tour in Nashville, TN. I was in awe of just being there which kind of clouds my memory a bit, but man it was awesome.

They were great on the III tour. Gary gets diss'd, but he did he great job. I saw the in Boston at the Fleet Center. And again in Mansfield Ma. For the infamous show they stopped playing and Ed asked us to come back tomorrow! They rocked live.

God bless Gary but Im sure it was uncomfortable for Mike or Ed being up there onstage with him every night not knowing if he was gonna grab their dicks or asses.

It was nice to hear some Dave era songs for the first time live in 14 years. Other than that the show I saw at Nissan Pavillion in Bristow VA was short on fans and no energy in the seats but musically was good.

Great tour. I'm a bigger Sam fan but hearing the start to Mean Street gave me goose bumps. And Eddie was amazing on this tour.

He's probably had more pussy than you ever will. Man, what a dumb statement from you. But, God bless Gary.

Gary lost his voice after 4 songs. He couldn't continue, so everyone was asked to come back the next night for a do over. They opened with the same 4 songs the 2nd night.
