I see John Stamos on their cover!

This magazine is about non-"professional musician" people who are guitar enthusiast. I'm wondering how EVH would fit in this format.

Unless he retired and took on a day job?

I have an issue with Keith Urban on the cover. I think it's just a matter of who has a famous name and has a lot of money.

Well now there's a guitar I've never seen Ed play before.
"One of the reasons I left Sabbath was because Van Halen was blowing us off the stage every night. It was embarrassing." -Ozzy Osbourne

"When I first heard "Runnin' With The Devil" on the radio, I was stunned and found myself dizzy, walking through my high school hallways thinking, "What was THAT?!"
Eddie Van Halen was so innovative and kicked so much ass, and David Lee Roth was for a time indisputably the Greatest Man in America.
If aliens came down and challenged us to a Battle of the Bands to decide the fate of Planet Earth, I would feel very confident putting early Van Halen forward as our champion." -Tom Morello

"A lot of bands mature, which means they get square; they start delivering messages. Hey, you got a message, use Western Union." -DLR

The only genre I really know is Van Halen.

    Django Reinhardt

Are some of those pesky non-"professional musician" people who have graced the cover of this magazine....
If you have nothing nice to say about Eddie Van Halen, you're at the right website. - Me (A few years ago)

"People take Van Halen much more seriously than we do" - David Lee Roth (1980's)

"I don't sit on the end of your bed while you're trying to make a living" - David Lee Roth (1988)

"For some reason people love to complain about everything. The internet has made it easy for people to do that. Shut the fuck up and get a life, or show me how good you can do it."- Edward Van Halen

"A lot of people ask me which Van Halen singer was better. You can't compare them. It's like asking which guitarist is better. Nobody is better than anybody. Every player is their own person."-Edward Van Halen

"I do like Eddie Van Halen as a player. He gets it right quite often." -Paul McCartney

Good call on that, if you crop just his face he does look a bit like Page. Alright Lou, if you happen to see this, here is the perfect chance to use your Photoshop skills to add Page's long white hair to this picture of Ed. lol

Hmmm... Guitar Aficionado seems a bit like Cigar Aficionado, which after a great beginning eventually turned into one of those lifestyle magazines for the wealthy back in the Clinton years. Thing is, I don't think there are quite as many of those people around post-2007 economic crash. Not sure that the world needs another magazine to showcase Ferrari, Bugatti, $20K automatic watches, and limited edition spirits... "The $110K Amp", sure sign me up.
