    Default She's The Woman

I knew I'd like this song going in from the early-form demos I had heard over the years.

But, man, do I love it. Van Halen Version 13.0, and they are just having a hell of a time with it.

Honestly, if they do a "late release" of this song as a single, it would immediately add 100,000 in sales...I really believe that. Maybe even do a little mini-late night tour (Jay, Dave, Conan, hell, That Metal Show). This is Van Halen that will spark moderate fans interest again...Easy, straight ahead, hard-rockin' swing. Ed, Wolf, and Al's playing, and Dave does a very good job of singing this one live.

When I think about what I propose with the late night talk show thing, really, why not? Give ADKOT one last shot in the arm, potentially help it go platinum? And make their next record deal (because they all seem to be one-offs) that much more lucrative.

Makes sense to me, but what the hell do I know?

The song was released as the second and final single for ADKOT on February 28, 2012.

I heard it on the local rock station a few times during the summer of 2012. I think that song has run its course.

Well, shit. I forgot that..O yea, they made a video too. Even so, I really think they sound good playing it live, and my idea for the talk shows still remains.

Alas, I don't know if we will ever see this again.

Love this song. Unfortunately, we're the only ones who care about VH anymore.

YES great song but so is the whole ADKOT and I will say it again it is the BEST comeback record ever

And VH is loved by millions of people around the world. It is not just the linkers bro just look at all the movie and tv shows recently mentioning them or playing a song. Also you do realize the amount of records they sold for ADKOT almost platinum is a major achievement, and their comeback tour with Dave was their biggest tour ever.

ADKOT is a great record, comeback or otherwise. I love it.

Yes, VH is loved by millions, but millions didn't buy the record like they bought Lady Gaga's and Katie Perry's. VH is getting mention in movies from guys like us who grew up in the 80s and are suffering mid-life crises and are nostalgic for younger days. The tour with Dave was big because of ticket prices, not because of attendance. I went to three shows and none were even close to capacity.

Personally, I couldn't disagree more. In the past 2 years Ive played that track more than any other VH tune in the entire catalogue.

That being said, I don't think it's the best song on the album. It's just a straight ahead rocker and it doesn't have the sonic variances that some of the other tunes have. However, the main riff and the little fills Eddie throws in just kick my ass every time I crank it. Not to mention Wolfie's bass playing is spectacular and Al's drumming is downright tasty.

STW should have opened the album. Tattoo should have been somewhere towards the middle of the order.

Sorry Zach. I misinterpreted you saying, "the song has run it's course".

She's the Woman would have been a much better choice for lead single.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Either this or 'Blood and Fire' or 'You and Your Blues' would've been good songs to be the first release.

Oh agreed on that, too, Raldo.

I think what they actually should've done was what was mentioned about but add more tour dates like Cleveland and other places they missed because of the diverticulitis. Then a single a year removed would've made sense.

"BAF" is my fave, looooove "YAYB," but I think "SF" would have been the best choice. Even those anuses at Rolling Stone commended it.
