I haven't seen this posted yet, so I thought I would do the honors - if it has been and it was so lame a topic that it was ignored ... sorry for reposting

dave has a new "video" on his site, this one he doesn't even bother to sing at all.

I call it, "Fun with Kayaking".

Who knew back in 1984 that it would all come down to this. $5.00 videos from DLR, and a Fading away VH

I showed a couple of those DLR videos to a friend of mine (who who parties NON-STOP) who told me the videos looked "Extacy induced".

At least he's not wearing the sailor outfit. Is there supposed to be a central plot that ties all these clips together? Baffling.
Dave is just playing with himself at this point. This shit isn't even remotely entertaining.

Well we all know now why Roth didn't perform any new stuff and the Sam and Dave Tour. Even the stuff his solo fans wanted him to play is 10-15 years old. However, I will say that the music on the latest video is better than the recent videos from the BBQ on his site (and I use that term in jest). Maybe because it doesn't have that 'cat in heat' sound that Dave's voice now produces.

I'm guessing that solo Dave fans can't call Sammy stuff cheezzy with a straight face anymore.

Guess again, dude. It's still cheesy.

And good music, like some of which Roth made 10-15 years ago, is timeless.

LOL at Hecubus. DLR solo is timeless? Are you drinking again?

It wreeks of the big hair 80's music. If it were timeless it would get air play somewhere, somehow. At least the classic rock stations play pre VH Hagar which would be how you define a timeless song. Not to mention NASCAR using his music and Fox Sports using One Way to Rock. I may be forgetting something but the last DLR solo song I heard on a radio station was 'Livin in Paradise.' Was that 88???

I said some of DLR solo is timeless...

Yup. I hear Yankee Rose & Tobacco Road fairly often out here in the North Bay. And if you meant Just Like Paradise, I hear that as well.

What's peculiar is that the only 2 Hagar songs in very heavy rotation @ our classic rock station is One Way to Rock & '55', with maybe a sprinkling of Heavy Metal. They've played them to death.
I could tolerate it much more if they play some of his other solo shit. Three Lock Box, Piece of my Heart, etc.

And what do you mean drinking again? I'm ALWAYS drinking, brother!

HAPPY GNU YEAR!

Why? You know exactly what I mean. Roth was once the premier frontman in rock AND a clever lyricist. Now, pushing 50, he STILL feels compelled to pretend a fake sword is his dick and wave it at the camera. If that's all Dave has to offer, I'd beg him to retire. Thank God only us hardcore VH fans probably even see his new "videos." Otherwise, the man would be a laughingstock on a grander scale than he is now.

Looking at his new "music," I can only draw two conclusions:either the guy is crazy or his creative well has truly run dry. If this is burning out, then fading away is a mighty fine looking proposition right about now.
