Not a goddamn thing wrong with staying healthy and striving for peak physical condition. If you have a problem with this woman and what she has to say, chances are the happiest three words you hear every year are "McRib is Back!"

No controversy at all. If the fat bitches of America don't like it than put down the gallon of ice cream and get off your fat ass and exercise. It's that simple

To be honest, I don't think the way she has titled her photo is all that helpful to her cause - it's VERY provocative, isn't it..."What's YOUR excuse?"

Well, yes, whilst a lot of people are overweight, and probably only have themselves to blame, there are also a lot of women out there, possibly single Mums, working all the hours God sends, trying to look after their kids, and maybe not having the time, energy, or funds to maintain those "washboard abs". Personally, I don't have a problem with her and her physique, per se - but, then, I'm fortunate not to be overweight. I do wonder, however, why she felt it necessary to publicise pictures of herself, and accompany them with such accusatory remarks. There is an AWFUL lot of pressure on women in this world - from the media, from the fashion industry, from the world at large - so I'm not really surprised that yet another voice chiming in has been greeted with some negativity by its female audience.

The other point which interested me is how both LL and Brew drew attention to her as being a glorious specimen of womanhood; that she should be commended on her looks, self-discipline, and healthy lifestyle. Perhaps you didn't notice, gents, but she is described as a "recovering bulimic". A 'recovering bulimic' is someone who still suffers from that disorder, is making efforts to conquer it, but who, in all probability, still succumbs to its effects from time-to-time and who is, almost certainly, still very troubled, psychologically.

All of this might go some way to explaining why she felt the need to display her picture and trumpet her story in such an overtly triumphalist fashion. Part of the bulimic's condition is the desire to be in absolute control, as well as a need to be seen / recognised as 'better' than others (better, because they're slimmer, or whatever); it seems to be prevalent within women who are 'high-achievers'. Sadly, this woman fits all of those criteria - which leads me to think that perhaps she isn't such a "healthy" specimen after all, physically or psychologically...

As I say, I personally don't care whether she chooses to flaunt her image and her lifestyle wherever / however she so wishes. I do think, however, that she could've chosen her words more carefully, and thought more deeply about her motivation for doing it in the fist place.

I see no problem with the What's Your Excuse? phrase.

It's a simple question. If you're out of shape and want to do something about it, just answer it truthfully.

Citing guilt or bullying is pretty much the point of the whole ad campaign... an excuse to avoid something.

It kind of rubs me the wrong way to be honest. I love it when everybody blames fat or overweight people. My wife has a thyroid condition and eats 1000 calories a day. She is still overweight and its very tough for her to lose weight.

I have never been under 200lbs in my adult life outside of when I was in boot camp. I what you would consider obese even though I ran 4.5 miles in a marathon relay a few weeks ago with a partially torn achillies tendon. I am 44 and smoke too. I passed women and guys with great bodies. I go to the gym 4 days a week but I will never have a great body.

My response to this women is "Proud of You!" If she can have three kids and look like that, its great. She may have a great body but there is more to life than that. In the scheme of things in life, being a great person, working hard and making a positive impact on peoples life is far more important than having 6 pack abs.

I always thought the idea of working out, improving your physique was for personal reasons. Not to go "hey I did it....so can you if you were not so damn lazy."

nice for her. don't really care. Not big on posting stuff like that on facebook to make yourself feel good and conversly make every new mom feel like shit. You work out, great. Don't care. My sister-in-law has become a fitness freak over the past couple of years and posts a new photo to facebook every day fishing for people to say "you look great". I removed her from my newsfeed as I couldn't tolerate it anymore.

Don't understand why people turned this into a controversy. A fitness freak worked out after having kids. #Shocking.

I dunno, hun - if some bird said that to me, in the flesh, I think I might be sorely tempted to punch her on the nose. It certainly wouldn't have the effect of making me want to emulate her - which is, apparently, the motivating force behind the whole thing.

And, sorry for the repetition - but this woman may look good on the outside, but as she proclaims herself to be a (former) bulimic, you can take it from me that she ain't looking so hot inside - either physiologically, or mentally.

I just find it troubling that she's being celebrated as the epitome of health, when really, she isn't.
