that show literally makes me laugh out loud every episode. I think it's because they are all really friends that adds something to it. I tried watching the European version and it was not funny at all but with these guys they know each others quirks and they play up to them. it's such a funny show.

Season Two for both Shrill on Hulu and Sex Education on Netflix are streaming.

Not that anybody even watched season one of either.

    Star Trek - Picard

Watched the series premiere this morning with my coffee. Pretty solid. A little slow, but setting up a great premise. Definitely some ominous overtones for the Federation. I imagine it'll pick up midway through the season.

I loved season one of Shrill, along with my gf.

Right now, we’re watching season two of You.

    But Shrill will be next.

The Man in the High Castle

Finished the series. Liked it until the last fifteen minutes. Without giving it away, there are a few items in the ending I don't find believable (yeah, I know, it's a show about the multiverse, but you know what I mean).

Side note, Rufus Sewell (sp?) is simply great in it.

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

Not 'new', but I've been binge watching NCIS: Los Angeles, and Chicago PD lately.

Yeah, the last shot confused me and it was apparently meant to be, trying not to give much away, something one interprets.

I noticed Sewell for the first time in college. My Shakespeare prof would show us versions of each play as we read them. After Taming of the Shrew, we watched a BBC reimagining called “ShakespeaRe-Told,” and that was one of the episodes. Sewell played Petruchio and was fabulous.

I’m not surprised that the show became more about him. The lead girl is kind of blah and Jason O’Mara came in late, and Sewell was knocking it out of the park.

And that’s the fascinating thing about TV. You can have the greatest plan until an actor does what he did and then the story changes because of that. Kind of like how the Ben Linus character on Lost was a 3-episode arc, but Michael Emerson was amazing and so he did 3 episodes, and then 75 more.

I enjoyed For All Mankind on Apple TV+. Actually a few shows on there were decent.

I didn't find the last action taken by the American Reichsfuhrer to be believable, and I didn't find the reach and extent of the Black Communist Rebellion to be believable either.

Minor nitpicks, as it was a great show.

I assume you have Prime if you'r watching TMITHC. I've only seen the first two episodes, but Poldark is my kind of series and looks like it's worth the time. Period piece set in the late 1700's just after the Revolutionary War. Five full seasons, 43 episodes.

I'm thinking about checking out Chuck with Zac Levi, from the mid 2000's. Heard good things about it, even though it was a standard network series. Never enough time to watch all that's out there.

I'm in the middle of Season 02 and this is such a nice series. I'm also finishing Season 02 of Versailles. Both are kick ass stuff.

    Picard

    I'm in.

I really hope there is a lot of focus forthcoming on how the Federation isn't all Unicorns and rainbows.

I Need to rewatch again and pay closer attention to what happened on Mars... then buff up on some Romulan history, synthetics and maybe some Borg stuff.

Only downer for me was that Dr. Jurati chick. That unhinged laugh she let out when Picard asked her about creating new synthetics was just really off putting.

Then again... she kind of reminds me of Tilly on ST: Discovery... who I didn't like at first, but grew on me during the second season.

Actually I thought his action was ok. Don't want to get into specifics due to spoilers, etc but it was come to Jesus moment. BCR was a bit forced but I think they knew that the Trade Minister story arc wasn't there. Needed to fill in the space since Julianna wasn't going to do it.

Is it me or if they decided to do a movie on Neil Peart, could they use the actor who plays the antiques dealer? He kind of looks similar no?
