    Thumbs up

During the last weekend, I finished watching Narcos: Mťxico Season 02.

The 1st 02 episodes were so and so. But after that, it really got better.

    Animal Kingdom

Season 4: Damn! What a wild ride. Can't really discuss much without any huge spoilers.

Wasn't too sure about the flashback segments when the season started, but really grew to like them since they are so loaded with Smurf's history and how everything came to be.

Seeing the Cody house in the 70's when Smurf first found it was a trip... looking out on the backyard with a swing set, before there was a pool was a really nice touch.

Craig and Ren having their baby was some very cool and grounded stuff, but then Deran's and Adrian's fate seemed a bit too melancholy and unrealistically staged. I actually laughed at Adrian's final comments.

Angela's story has been all over the place and U turned yet again in the closing moments of the finale. She's a hard pill to swallow as Pope's manipulative controller, and Pope is one of the most complicated characters in recent series history.

I expect the Bones chick to be in the main cast for season 5, but they are having a hard time making her anything but unlikable and conniving... but this series is built on hidden agendas and every single character seems to have one.

Good to see Dennis Leary back. Thought for sure he would end up with a bullet in his head about 3/4 through the season. No one seems to be expendable in this series and there were a few deaths that made me cheer.

Not sure where they go from here, but it would be cool to see someone like Pam Grier come in as the present day Pamela.

Two favorite little moments: Smurf coming back from her mystery trip to all of squatter Angela's dirty dishes all over the counters and then later during the last episode "party"... the few bags and bowels of chips on the same counter tops, put out for the guests.

Oh! one more... Pope: "OK, I'll stop by Safeway and grab a pie" Lol

    Hunters

Al Pacino and an elite group of individuals hunt Nazi's on the rise in the mid 1970's... and fear not... there's lesbians also.

    High Fidelity

Struggled through the first 30 minute episode. Even though Da'Vine Joy Randolph as Cherise is a riot, Zoe Kravitz narrating about her failed love life is not. Bored the shit out of me.

Yeah, it's based on the great novel and maybe greater film... but Rob is a woman here. (I see what they did)

    Altered Carbon - Season Two

So Falcon from the Marvel universe has taken over the lead. Is it weird to say that I like him a lot better as an actor than the previous guy (he was the lead Special Forces dude in Suicide Squad), but I was simply used to the other guy in the role, I don't like the change, even in a show in which people can jump from body to body.

I dont know, not sure yet.

Debbie Harry makes a cameo at the end of E3 as a daydream. Fuck! getting old sucks!

E3 was better than E1, but I'm not letting them slide on feeling the need to change up the source material.

I Am Not Okay With This

A neat, quick little series. 7 less than 30 minute episodes.

Strong characters in Syd, Stan and Liam.

Yeah, they completely bored the living shit of me with their "woke" take on such a brilliant
    book & film.

I was pretty excited for the series, too.

Default What are You Watching The NEW TV season

Iíve enjoyed High Fidelity so far. Donít care about the gender change. The film was great, though made a big change, like the country it takes place in, but the author was happy. So this version can be something different and a womanís perspective is fine. Iíve finished three episodes.

Iíve really enjoyed Outsider on HBO, though itís a tad slow, and thatís from a guy who watched all of a man in the High Castle.

The one for me that started off bad and has gotten significantly better is Avenue 5. Had high, Veep expectations, and was disappointed. But as the set up slowly unfolded, it got a lot better.
