    Default Nut question

For the hard tail I'm about to select a neck
Is it wrong or odd to put a locking nut on a hardtail? Most ibanez AANJ necks will have a spot for one
    Or
I found a guy who makes fixed bridge replacements for the ibanez 43mm nut
So I have both nuts and not sure which would be best
What I don't like about the fixed bridge is it doesn't have the standard screw holes to attach it. The guys demo video just has the string tension holding it in place
Shouldn't it at least be glued on?

Unless the hardtail has some sort of fine tuners I'd recommend against having a locking nut.

Which hardtail bridge are you using? Tune-O-Matic of some sort? Or a Strat-style hardtail? Or something else?

More strat style. It's a thru body
So I guess my question becomes shouldn't the
    Nut be glued on?

If you're going with a hardtail Strat-style bridge like this one:

I'd go with a standard-style nut. What it's made of is up to you. Bone is vintage, cyclovac is what Fender uses these days, TusQ is cool and comes in a whitish color that looks like bone or graphite black, or you could use brass like EVH did at one point.

I already have the nut either way
My question now is shouldn't it be glued on?
The guys instructions just have string tension holding it on

There should be some adhesive, and what a lot of guys use (to fascilitate easy removal at a later date if necessary) is plastic model cement like Testor's brand that comes in a tube, and is fairly thick. It has enough bond to hold it in place from rocking, or lateral movement, but if you do need to pop it out at a later time, a sharp tap with a small hammer and block of wood will pop it out cleanly and leave little residue to clean prior to reinstallation.
I've used it too, and it works well.

Turns out it pretty much snapped in place. But input a touch of glue to be safe
    It's almost ready for strings
