Default Has anyone heard "When its love" done accousticcly?

I'm looking for a version of "When its love" done on acoustic guitar. Can anyone help? I'm not sure if a version exists by VH, but even a cover artist would be ok just to know what it sounds like. I'm getting married next year, and we want it played on the day by a local guitar player. We just need the music first, and need to know if it works on acoustic. Any help needed? Appreciated.

    Congratulations on your engagement.
I don't know of any recording of the song acoustically... however I'm certain any guitarist worth his/her salt could easily make an acoustic arrangement.

Just mention "money" and he'll do it right quick.

    Cheers.

There is sheet music for it, just buy the sheet music (it's pretty cheap), give to any competent guitar player and they can convert the multiple tracks into an underlying acoustic track.

This is just my two cents, but I think without a singer the song will lose a lot of its power and intensity in conversion to acoustic.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

If you want it done "right," you're going to have to get a copy of the sheet music and have someone arrange it for a solo acoustic performance. I have a buddy who, before he started his PhD program, would arrange songs for duo classical guitar performance with another friend of ours and they would perform at concerts and weddings. There are pros out there that do this stuff. Another, cheaper option is to find guitar students from the music program at your local university and pay them to do it.

It depends on what you want quality-wise. I performed at an old friend's wedding. She's a singer (Was top 8 a few years ago on America's Got Talent, even), and wanted guitar music from me for before the ceremony and the wedding party, then a particular song performed while she walked down the aisle. There was no sheet music available and I had to figure out two guitar parts as one by ear. Luckily, the melody was being taken care of by a vocalist. We previously recorded the song to put on a CD to give away to guests, but I had to learn the song and record it in the same evening. It could have been so much better, but she was happy.

This is a great post, and DD's too. I think at the very least, a duo of rhythm and lead acoustic guitars, or at least a single guitar with a vocal just because of how layered the song is with the keys, and guitar...not sure how a singer would fit in to your plans, some only like instrumental....?, but with the right singer who can sing it tastefully, that could totally work!

My first wedding (and no, I didn't learn the first time), I got married in the church with the largest pipe organ in DFW. We had the organist segue the WIL intro into Canon in D for the bridal march.

Hearing WIL on a 100-year-old pipe orgain DOES tend to give one chills.

If you had the largest pipe organ in DFW, why were you getting married?
