Default adult sized Big Wheel....I kinda want one

Big Wheels came in after my time and I had to watch from afar as my younger cousins tore up the sidewalk and learned to drift on their awesome Big Wheels....soooooo much better than those goofy top heavy tricycles

now they have a (sort of) replica made to adult sizes and I kinda dig em

Too bad there's no blue spinout brake or handy blue storage box in the back.

The Green Machine was a far superior vehicle. It was a Ferrari for 8 year olds.

I had to google "Green Machine". I don't remember them.

Hmm ... I dunno. I had both and I lean toward Big Wheel, only because of Green Machine's frame design flaw (weak in the middle - I didn't know a kid whose GM wasn't bowed down in the middle.)

Regardless, I watched the video and I wasn't totally on board until he said something about remembering the rumble of plastic wheels and that instantly brought back the joy. Just hours of fun riding these guys up and down the drive and street.

My spin-out brake was yellow, for what it's worth.

Yeah I want one but with a radio so I can be cranking some Unchained while doing power slides

Green Machines came a few years after time. They looked cool. The only issue I can remember with Big Wheels was the flat spot from doing too many slides.

    The dreaded flat spot. Clunk-clunk-clunk-clunk.

A few years later, I'd suffer the same problem with the back wheel of my dirt bike. Too many skid marks (as it were).

I had a choice between a Big Wheel, A Green Machine or a BMX. I choose the later. A good choice in the end. The BW,GM fad lasted a few months here. They were fun though. A mate had a BW. I didnt like the GM much. I didn't like the gear sticks steering thing...

If I had to speculate I'd say it's gone in order to prevent flat spots on the rear tires as they will continue to rotate somewhat as you spin out using the front brake.
