"I could call it anything, but the only word I can think of is Brown. It's just a warm sound. Warm, big, majestic" - Eddie Van Halen on his Tone

"Van Halen is definitely a ladies band, and Ive got the Polaroids to prove it". - David Lee Roth

WOLFGANG did the IMPOSSIBLE, he brought back VAN HALEN, DEAL WITH IT.

All he basically says is Ed told him he was in the band and he tells the VH story in his upcoming documentary. Nothing there really.

Although he "joined" VH to me it's like it never happened, no shows, no songs, no recording.

    Yeah, it's a footnote.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

    Thanks for the link.

They're doing a reenactment of his time with VH on video? That's actually something really interesting, I'd say.

His 15 minutes of fame are based quite literally on the 15 minutes he spent in VH.

What did he do in his very short stint in VH? I've heard his name but never knew about him.

He auditioned, was invited to join, accepted, saw Dave with the band at the MTV VMAs, and politely declined due to "nobody can follow that".

Makes one wonder what would have happened had Cherone done the same thing.

It's really what Cherone should have done as well. Can't really blame him for wanting to be in VH but after the MTV appearance there's no way anyone was accepting someone other than Dave. Cherone should have known that. Ed and Al should have realized this, really stupid not to understand how big it was that they made that appearance with Dave and what message it sent. 1996 really was the year for that reunion and had it happened then like it should have, VH would probably still be the huge band they were up to that point. Instead, 96' began what would be at least a decade of stupid decisions and problems for the band. The MTV fight was just stupid, the whole hip thing...really, that's what you broke up about, cuz Dave was happy to be in the spotlight and told you to shut up about your hip? That's the kind of argument you have and then next day you done care about it, it's done.
